Perusing the Internets this weekend and just doing some catch up reading, I came across this hilarious article on Yahoo, that had a quote saying: “…according to a recent report, Chevys proudly proclaim of their owners, “I don’t use the Internet.”" HAHAHA. The article breaks down the numbers futher by saying “13% of Chevy owners don’t use the Web” and goes on to say only 35% of Chevy owners have a college degree or higher compared that to 70% for Honda owners. Other cars mentioned in this study are Honda, Ford, Mini, Bentley and Ferrari.

Its not often that I blog about automobiles (actually there may be ZERO posts from me on this topic).  Its not that I don’t appreciate the fine lines and technology behind current and upcoming cars.  Rather its the lack of knowledge and passion.  However, I couldn’t ignore Nissan’s electric 2 seater concept, the Land Glider.  If the slender exterior doesn’t sell you, just take a good look at the interior cockpit.  Then view the Youtube clip and get back to me with your thoughts.

Designed by German powerhouse production company, Markenfilm,  is a really cool campaign for Audi’s 2.0 TDI A4.  The video displays the assembly of the A4 via a giant glass rubiks cube.  I’m a bit fuzzy on the message Audi is trying to convey.  But after several views of the 47 second clip, I wish I had another a later model Audi product.

GM and Segway have teamed up and created the P.U.M.A., which stands for Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility. The vehicle is a new concept design that was revealed at the New York auto show earlier this week. This works similar to the current  Segways, with the major difference being that it can seat two people and there’s a shield / cover over the vehicle. Speeds are said to reach upwards of 60 km/h and recharging the vehicle is said to only cost a few cents. Both companies look to put this into production and make it available to the public by next year.

What would you do with 12 miles of yarn?  Artist Lauren Porter decided to stitch a full sized replication of a red Ferrari.  The project took ten months to complete with the help of twenty of Lauren’s friends.  From the pictures below, you will notice the details that the artist placed into each part of the stitched vehicle.

I wonder which celebrity will purchase this “toy” and place it in their house?

I love streetbikes, so when I came across the Ducati Streetfighter, my jaw just hit the ground at the pure sexiness. The bike is stripped to the bare essentials in terms of looks, giving it that raw look yet polished finish. This sweetness packs a 155hp Ducati L-Twin attached to a super-light frame, weighing in at 167kg (368lb). The Ducati Streetfighter is expected to make its debut in Spring 2009.
