Originally seen on YesButNoButYes, is a clip from an Indian reality show, Dadagiri. Each of the contestants on the show have to deal with college hazing of some sort from a variety of hosts. After enduring that and competing with one another, the final contestant standing wins Rs. 50,000. Each contestant that gets eliminated is rewarded with a Fear Factor style feast to be eaten off a toilet bowl… Anyway, in this clip, things get out of hand. Watch and see why this is the meanest reality show in India. On a side note, I feel bad for the contestant that raged against Esha - the Goddess. His reaction definitely wasn’t in his favor.
Here is an interesting commercial for the Norwegian National Lottery. Each of the 6 individuals either dodged death or got lucky in one way or another. Henceforth, feeling like a million bucks. What I don’t get is how the motorcyclist got tossed into the pool. The commercial may seem mediocre, but its definitely more interesting in comparison to our “Lady Luck” campaigns. Add in Dntel’s “This is the dream of Evan and Chan” and you’ve got a catchy commercial worth a view or two.
Huh…did none of her peoples think this was wrong? In a new Ortega commercial featuring Paul Hamm, Morgan Hamm and Shawn Johnson, they’re selling the aforementioned Ortega taco shells. Here’s a transcript of her line incase you’re still shocked over the video: “My tacos the best. I love Ortegas taco sauce, it makes my taco pop!”. “Makes my taco pop”! Jebus, shouldn’t her peoples have caught this?
Now out is the trailer for the upcoming film Max Payne, starring Mark Wahlberg. This 2 minute or so trailer provides never-before-seen action sequences, lots of explosions and a little bit more story revealing. I’ve been a huge fan of the video game since it first came out in 2001 and thought it was pretty f’in badass, as the main character Max takes on a shit load of bad guys and reveals the story of how his family was murdered. The trailer looks to follow the video game story line quite closly as fans of the game will see.
The film also stars Mila Kunis, Chris O’Donnell, Beau Bridges and Ludacris and is expected to hit theatres on October 17th.
Recently released is the trailer for the film Fast & Furious which is set to be released next summer. The movie is directed by Justin Lin, previous work include two of my favorite films: Better Luck Tomorrow & Finishing the Game: The Search for a New Bruce Lee. The fourth installment of the series has Vin Diesel and Paul Walker back, but more importantly for me, Jordana Brewster is also back. Anyways check out the trailer and let us know what you think.
Those that loved French actress Audrey Tautou as the star of quirky and adorable Amelie (we’ll try to forgive and forget her contributions to the disastrous Da Vinci Code), will love her even more now that the petite beauty has taken on the role of Coco Chanel in a biopic about the late fashion designer.
Production for Coco Avant Chanel (or Coco Before Chanel) will begin in Paris on Sept. 15. The screenplay was written by Anne Fontaine and Camille Fontaine along with Christopher Hampton, and it’s based on the Chanel biography, L’Irreguliere (or The Nonconformist) by Edmonde Charles-Roux.
Coco Avant Chanel will reportedly feature dresses from Chanel, and everyone’s favorite sunglasses-wearing Albino, Karl Largerfeld, has already jumped on board to supervise the rec-creation of some of Chanel’s most iconic costumes and accessories.
Scheduled for a release next year, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros.
Last month, Benny Gold gave us all a sneak peak of his upcoming New Era fitteds. But considering it was a sneak peak, we only got to see a closeup of the paper plane embroidery. The above two fitteds are part of the Fall/Winter lineup and appropriately named “Doughboy” after Ice Cube’s character from Boyz N The Hood. Keep any eye out for these at your local Benny Gold account. Much like the pinstriped fitteds or any Benny Gold fitted, they will fly like hotcakes.
Unfortunately for Ghostface Killah, his appearance in this summer’s Iron Man didn’t make it past the cutting room floor. It has however turned up on the Internet. Watch Ghost graciously give up his bitches to the real(?) Tony Stark… Continue Reading
