In search of a mixtape this Monday, I came across one by Classixx. for Fluo Kids. Those of you that have followed along with Classixx may remember Tyler and Michael when they were under a different moniker. A remix for Hellogoodbye is the first track that comes to mind when they were known as Young Americans. After having scanned the track listing, the single song that turned me onto this mix was “Push the Feeling On” by Nightcrawlers. Either that or Barbara Tucker’s “I Get Lifted” would’ve sold me as I love club jams from the mid 90’s. With that said, have a listen and download the track here.

I’ve had a few mixtapes submitted to me and I have to admit I haven’t had time and won’t for a bit to check them all out, so I’m gonna post them all here and let y’all decide what’s dope and what’s wack. So with that said download away.
If there is one word I have to say to describe today’s Mixtape Monday by Downtown, it would have to be infectious. I thought I swore off abrasive dance music for Mixtape Monday, but this was too good to pass up. The timing was right for some baile funk after seeing Diplo this past Wednesday as well. And of course, anything Mixin’ it Up for Discobelle session is worth the listen over and over again. Press play, enjoy, google the featured artist, Downtown and download the mix.

For this week’s Mixtape Monday, I found the above gem from Paul Tao’s site, Hate Something Beautiful. The Devil Made Me Do It is a duo from United Kingdom that classify their work as “melodramatic pop music”. The tracklist features fan favorites such as reworks of M.I.A., Madonna , Lykke Li and of course Hercules and Love Affair. But what really caught my ears is Q Lazzarus’s hit, Goodbye Horses. Some may instantly recall the song from The Silence of the Lambs. Although I’m sure no one wants to recall the imagery when this track played in the movie Aside from that, the only other time I’ve heard Ms. Lazzarus’s track was from Mishka x Math Head’s “I Like Your Poetry, But I Hate Your Poems Volume 1.”
Listen to the stream above, be sold by the intro and download the mix here.

On Friday I was chilling and minding my own business, oh who am I kidding. I was still recovering from Diplo the night before when my buddy Ryan hit me up on BBM (Blackberry Messenger) with these words: “go to the mad decent blog and download the sany pitbull mix, then thank me later”. With a recommendation like that you know I had to go and download this and hear it for myself. After hearing the mix for myself, I definitely give this two thumbs up. Something you can definitely listen to while working out, driving to and from work or pre-partying before you head out. The mix is fairly versatile. Track 4 and 5 are easily my favs.
Give it a listen below and then give it a download.

We here at Killahbeez love The Hood Internet, so when I visited their site the other day to look for some new remixes and instead saw the new mixtape, Vol. 3. Took a quick listen and knew that this had to be shared with all you readers. Both ABX and STV SLV, keep the shit banging with their mashups and these mashups work, my favorite is the Chromeo vs Rihanna vs Michael Jackson, but with 34 tracks on this mix, it’s hard not to find a favorite. Oh and the cover for this mixtape itself is pretty ill. As mentioned this is the third in the series, if you missed out on the first two you can catch Vol. 1 here and Vol. 2 here. Also be sure to check out the interview we did with The Hood Internet awhile back here.
Have a listen here or give it a download for that drive into work.
