This video is a little bit on the awesome side. Richard Simmons on CNN speaking about how one should take care of themselves in the New Year, when he suddenly kisses CNN’s anchor Kiran Chetry’s foot. This had me giggling quite a bit and honestly I can admit I can appreciate good looking feets like my man Simmons here. Ladies with freakishly long second toes need not apply, them shits scare me.

So last night I was chillin’, minding my own business and talking to my cousin via MSN about an upcoming project for Killahbeez, when a link to the above photo appeared in the chat box. Here is the intelligent conversation that followed:

Me: photoshop son, has to be.
Me: fuck that fam
Me: nah man. I refuse to believe.

Yeah that was pretty much the extent of the conversation, until I decided to follow the National Geographic link to see if it was actually real. To my surprise, it’s very real. This catfish is known as the Mekong Giant Catfish and lives in areas around Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. They can grow up to 10 feet in length and weigh in at a whopping 650lbs. Now the sad part, these fishes are becoming nearly extinct due to overfishing and the disruption of dams being built.

What do these fishes eat you may ask, I honestly assumed poop and other waste matters that get dumped into the river, but it’s really a mixture of plants and algae, so actually poop definitely plays a part in the growth of this fish. Have a look at the video below.

This may be the illest shit ever. Anyways I realize this is  old, but I hadn’t seen it and I thought I’d share incase anybody else missed it.

Many high end European brands have lowered the price of their merchandise in the US retail market, due to value of the $1.  In the article, “Versace, Christian Louboutin, Chanel, and More Slash Prices in U.S“, NY Mag reports that some of our favorite brands “are cutting prices on goods in the U.S. by 8 to 10 percent”.

After reading nymag, I began to indulge in online retail therapy browsing.  Despite many brands decreasing prices in the US, I was sad to discover that Chanel has not.  As of November 1st, the price of Chanel handbags has increased!  There goes my hopes and dreams of having my very own 2.55 bag!

Does that make any sense?  With the fall of the retail market, why has Chanel increased the price of handbags?

With the election happening tomorrow, I was sent this little gem on Sarah Palin getting…well pretty much punked by a couple of fellow French Canadians.

She actually thinks the call is coming from French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The PR manager really botched this one up badly without confirming or checking the call first. In this prank call they tell Palin that she would make a good president, to which she replied “maybe in 8 years”. The pranksters even mentioned the porno “Nailin Pailin” and I’m not sure if she didn’t understand or just didn’t hear. A great reason as to why this woman should not be in office, cus let’s face it McCain ain’t gonna make it past 2 years if he becomes president.

Instead of airing music videos, MTV currently plays re-runs of “RW/RR Challenge: The Island” and “Paris Hilton’s New BFF“. With the launch of MTV Music, 16,000 archived videos will now be offered to music fanatics.  Does this mean that MTV will begin to run more reality shows?  I hope not.

I suspect that this may be another option for YouTube internet users to obtain access to music videos via the world wide web.  If I were MTV, I would compete with YouTube as well, considering that the music channel was the first kid to play music videos on television.  YouTube has been quite a hit with internet users, from co-hosting live Presidential Debates with CNN to battling piracy issues with MTV’s parent company, Viacom.

Here’s the latest Kanye West song “Heartless”, this is off of the upcoming album 808’s & Heartbreaks. I know what you’re thinking, “another song sung in auto-tune!?!?!”, yes. It looks like 808’s & Heartbreaks is heading down that path as there was a listening party held recently and from reported accounts it seems that Kanye done lost his damn mind and sung on every track via auto-tune. Why now? Why follow Terrycloth-Pain’s footsteps (besides as my KB member, AJK, pointed out “better beats and marginally better lyrical content from Ye”). Definitely confused at the whole direction of the album, but I’ll still try to give it a listen before I form a full judgement. For those that are thinking, “man this dude is closed-minded”, geeeeeeet the fuck outta here. I listen to a lot of different generes, I just don’t get why Ye is doing this now or why he’s even doing something that’s been done to death by the aforementioned Tallahassee-Pain. After enduring that and competing with one another, the final contestant standing wins Rs. 50,000.  Each contestant that gets eliminated is rewarded with a Fear Factor style feast to be eaten off a toilet bowl…  Anyway, in this clip, things get out of hand. Watch and see why this is the meanest reality show in India.  On a side note, I feel bad for the contestant that raged against Esha - the Goddess.  His reaction definitely wasn’t in his favor.

Here is an interesting commercial for the Norwegian National Lottery.  Each of the 6 individuals either dodged death or got lucky in one way or another. Henceforth, feeling like a million bucks.  What I don’t get is how the motorcyclist got tossed into the pool.  The commercial may seem mediocre, but its definitely more interesting in comparison to our “Lady Luck” campaigns.  Add in Dntel’s “This is the dream of Evan and Chan” and you’ve got a catchy commercial worth a view or two.

Fourteen years in the making, it looks like Guns ‘N Roses’ long awaited Chinese Democracy is finally set to be released (without Shaq’s freestyle). Just to put this in perspective, it took the Beatles ten years to record and release their entire discography.

In what is being explained as a playful “wink” to one of their Chinese sponsors, the Spanish national basketball team (including Raptor, Jose Manuel Calderon and Laker, Pau Gasol)  made “Chinese eyes” for a full page ad in Spain’s best selling newspaper.

Calderon attempted to defend the team shot, explaining, “…we have great respect for the Orient and its people, some of my best friends in Toronto are of Chinese origin.”

Chinese officials responded by putting peepee in the team’s Coke.

Talk about much too much - these Miu Miu sequined pumps are likely to blind unsuspecting passersby. But hey, they would definitely be a conversation starter. Or stopper.
