You’re mad touring all over Europe right now. How’s that going?
DJ Mehdi: Going very good, thank you. I love touring here in Europe. It’s my home. I never get tired of it. France, U.K., Germany plus Scandinavia and the Mediterranean, so much things to see, so many good people, and the food is usually great. What more could I ask for?

As mentioned earlier in the week here’s the review for the RZA concert that took place on June 25th at Richards on Richards in Vancouver and presented by Sealed with a Kiss. Official tour name is “The Digi Snacks Tour” and it was insanely energetic from beginning to end.
The night kicked off with opening act soul band Stone Mecca, a 9 member band with literally 4 or 5 strong singers as they rotated off the lead throughout their set. Performing their songs “Come Home”, the soulful “In Love” where one lucky gentlemen was being sung to, “Strugglin”, “Life Music” and their track off of the Afro Samurai soundtrack “The Walk” amongst other songs. Their set definitely had the crowd vibing for what was next.

Was at lunch yesterday with my buddy and former boss at Cactus Club. I was cruisin’ through the drink menu contemplating on getting some booze in the body at 1pm since it was my day off. I flipped to the martinis menu and what stucks out like a sore thumb? Yah, the Wu-Tangtini, WTF? That was my reaction. So what does said drink contain: soho lychee liqueur, smirnoff vodka and white cranberry juice. How these ingredients relate to the Wu, I’m not so sure. Is it the Soho lychee liqueur?
Awwwwwww gyeah. Rock The Bells line-up has been announced for this year. Headlining this year will be A Tribe Called Quest, NAS, Mos Def and a grip of other artists as you can see from the flyer above. I had the pleasure of attending last year’s Rock The Bells in New York with Wu-Tang Clan and Rage Against The Machine being the main headliners and I have to say it was easily one of the best concerts I’ve ever attended. Off course alot of it had to do with the fact that it was in New York and a lot of these artists were killing it on stage for fam and friends. I’m hoping for Santogold, Kid Sister and Dead Prez for the leg of the tour that hits my city. For more info visit www.guerillaunion.com.
