A couple of new tracks here, while the rest are remixes that I thought were dope or interesting enough to post up on the site. First up is Diddy, okay so by now you’ve probably heard T.I.’s “Swagger Like Us”, well, Diddy took it a step further and did a track called “Swagger Like Puff”. The thing is the brotha comes off hard on this track, opening the track up by saying “Ayo P gimme my gun”. Huh, Diddy, I know you were cleared of gun charges, but not a good look to bring in a line like that. Next is Lady Gaga, all I’ve heard about this girl is that she’s huge in Canada, #1 hit, knocked off Katy Perry’s joint, please don’t judge our country based on the music charts. Anyways she shows love to Canada by enlisting Kardinal Offishall to spice the track up and I have to say I quite like it, definitely can say my homegirl Moore would love this track too. Via Missing Toof are two electro tracks, first being Heartsrevolution with their thumping track “Switchblade” and next is a remix of The Ting Tings “Shut Up and Let Me Go” remixed by LAZRtag, about 20 - 25 seconds into the track I was sold.

10.Deep and Wale have collabed together to put out this new mixtape, entitled The Mixtape About Nothing. The mixtape contains freestyles as well as joints from other people’s albums that he’s appeared on. In conjunction with the mixtape 10.Deep has released a “Serenity Now” t-shirt, which completes the whole Seinfeld theme. Peep the t-shirt after the jump. All orders of the shirt will come with a hardcopy of the mixtape. Check the freestyle below and then download the mix.
Here’s the freestyle that blew Wale up and brought him to the forefront. This is the official video that was just recently released and is directed by Todd Angkasuwan. He’s done videos for Jin, KRS-One, Sheek Louch and RZA to name a few. Oh and if you didn’t already know the actual song he’s rhyming over is by Justice and it’s called “D.A.N.C.E.”.
The Roots new video featuring RnB songstress Chrisette Michele and Wale. Song is called “Rising Up” off of the upcoming album Rising Down which is scheduled to drop April 29th. Video directed by Rik Cordero.
May 19th 2008, marks the release date of Ed Banger Records Vol. 3. SebastiAn’s mystery single, ‘untitled’, has been floating around the blogosphere for awhile now. There are two things that I’m wondering: A) will Motor be the final name of the track and b) will it be part of this album.
Also, make the leap to the back end to see some pics I took from Justice’s DC performance at 9:30 Club. In attendance were Busy P, So Me, and of course Gaspard and Xavier of Justice. I’m not sure why Fancy cancelled. Instead, Wale filled in the gap between Busy P and Justice’s performance. After a few shameless self plugs, the dj that accompanied Wale threw in their remix of D.A.N.C.E. to set things off. Big ups to Wale though, he just got signed onto Interscope.
