The music video for T.I.’s newest single, “Life Your Life” featuring Rhianna premiered on BET’s Access Granted earlier tonight. The video was shot in Los Angeles by Anthony Mandler (Director of Rhianna’s “Disturbia” video).
From the first time I heard “Live Your Life”, I’ve had it on heavy rotation. I love the positive message that the song is sending out. 2008 has not been the best year for T.I. but he has been able to stay positive and continues to be sexy while doing so!
Here’s the latest video from Lady GaGa. This post here is dedicated to my homegirl Moore, as she loves this girl, and well, happy Thursday girl. The video is for the song “Poker Face”, which is directed by Anthony Mandler, whom is also working on the new video for T.I.’s “Live Your Life”. Plot: GaGa attends party where the men and women are playing stripped poker, this is ironic as both my homegirl and I actually worked for an online poker company. The party gets buck wild as everybody loses at the poker game and has to strip down to their boxers and panties and the dancing commences. Lady GaGa: 1, Randoms: 0.
The debut album titled The Fame, is set to release on October 28th in the US. On a side note, this album is already available in Canada.
New video from T.I. just dropped a few days ago to support his newest single “What’s Up, What’s Haapnin”. The track is produced by Drumma Boy, who has worked with E-40, Eightball & MJG, Paul Wall, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross to name a few artists. The single, appearing on his upcoming 6th major studio album called Paper Trail, due September 30th, mocks Shawty Lo with cynical lyrics and has some direct disses at the end when T.I. jokes with comedian Lil Duval.
Some new tracks for all of you to preview and bang. First up we have Keri Hilson’s new track “Slow Dance”, which is produced by The Royal Court (dudes work closely with Timbaland and did the Omarion “Ice Box” track). The track is definitely a nice slow jam to listen to for the ladies or better yet, with the ladies.
We also have three new tracks from T.I., which I’m definitely anticipating the release of the album. “Swagger Like Us”, Killahbeez’s own AJK sent through to me and all we really could say was 1. drums are nice and 2. T.I. lyrically killed it, other than then neither of us are feelin’ the “Paper Planes” sample that Kanye used for this track. Of all the tracks here, “Let My Beat Pound” is my favorite. But give all three a listen and let us know what you think.
Also included here are new tracks from 88-Keys featuring Kanye West and new Kardinal Offishal featuring The Dream.
Keri Hilson “Slow Dance” (Produced by The Royal Court)
T.I. ft. Kanye West, Jay-Z & Lil’ Wayne “Swagger Like Us”
T.I. “Let My Beat Pound”
T.I. ft. Usher “My Life, Your Entertainment” (Produced by Drumma Boy)
Second single for Ne-Yo called “Miss Independent” which is off of the upcoming Year of the Gentleman. His second album is scheduled to drop on September 16 with the first single “Closer” being released back in April. The video is directed by Chris Robinson, who has done videos for Usher, Alicia Keys, Busta Rhymes, T.I., Nas and many other artists. The video also co-stars some beautiful women, Keri Hilson, Gabrielle Union and Lauren London.
More new music from three albums that I’m most looking forward to for this year. For those keeping track that would be T.I.’s Paper Trail, Kardinal Offishall’s Not 4 Sale and The Game’s LAX. LAX is expected to drop on August 26, while both Not 4 Sale and Paper Trail are expected to come out in September. Check out the tracks below.
New video from T.I. for his latest single “Whatever You Like”. The video was shot in both Los Angeles and Malibu and was directed by Dave Meyers who won a Grammy in 2006 for his work on Missy Elliott’s video “Lose Control”. T.I.’s next video is for “Swing Your Rag”, which reportedly will be released in September. The album, Paper Trail, is expected to drop on September 30 and thank goodness DJ Toomp is back on this album, he’s not doing all the tracks, but at least he’s got some work on the album.
Two remixes and a new song dropping for your listening pleasures. First up is the remix of Erykah Badu’s song “Real Thang” featuring the Re-Up Gang, these dudes have been hella busy and just on everything. Definitely building up that hype before their album drops. Next is a remix from Lloyd for the song “Around The World”, which I actually quite liked the original, now he’s back with a remix with a ton of rappers, unfortunately he thought it was a good idea to bring on Dj Khaled…”WE DA BESSSSSST!”. Enough already god damn it!
Erykah Badu Ft. The Re-Up Gang “Real Thang” (Tumbling Dice Remix)
Lupe Fiasco “Where Do I Go”
Lloyd Ft. Dj Khaled, The Game, T.I., Young Joc, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, Young Dro, Pitbull & Busta Rhymes “Curtain Call”
