The Clipse: Play Cloths (Mixtape)

Posted on 19 November 2008 by atek

The Clipse have had their hands tied with Play Cloths since they made the announcement of launching the line in Fall 2007. In honor of the new line, Complex will be releasing a new mixtape, Road To Till The Casket Drops, on December 1st.

The intro to the mixtape is below.

I can’t wait to hear the rest of the mixtape. For more updates, click here to visit Complex’s blog.

On A Related Note:

Play Cloths will kick off the launch of the new line at Commonwealth VA on November 21st. After attending Diplo’s set at Commonwealth DC, I highly recommend early arrival. I spoke to Larry this evening and he mentioned that something is in the works for the DC store. Oh really?

Stay tuned to Killah Beez for more updates later!

Christian Rich “Famous Girl”

Posted on 19 August 2008 by DT

Alright so freshly back from NYC and got a new dope fresh crew doing their thing called Christian Rich, and yes they’re twins. They moved out from the Chi to NYC to get some music gigs and ended up producing for Lil’ Kim, as well as one of my favorite groups, The Clipse. They’ve also recently completed and released a mixtape in conjunction with clothing brand Lemar and Dauley called I Found My Favorite Beats And Rhymed to Them While Watching ‘Coming to America’: The Decay Mixtape. Now how’s that for a fuckin’ mixtape name, ILL right. The song we got right here “Famous Girl” is mad melodic and displays their range from singing the hook to spittin’ bars, definitely mad fresh. Want to find out more about Christian Rich, then visit their myspace page: www.myspace.com/crichmusic.

Video: Kardinal Offishall ft. The Clipse “Set It Off”

Posted on 22 July 2008 by DT

Canada’s best and most consistent MC, Kardinal Offishall, has dropped his latest single and video for “Set It Off” which also features one of my favourite hiphop duos, The Clipse. This single as well as the previous single, “Dangerous” featuring Akon, are both set to appear on the upcoming fourth studio LP, Not 4 Sale. The video is directed by Matt Alonzo, who recently did the Lil’ Wayne “Lollipop” video. This video, “Set It Off”, has Kardi and The Clipse doing their thing up in a club. Check out the vid and let us know what you think.
