Here’s an application I recently just came across. It’s called Poladroid and in a nutshell, it turns any one of your photos into an old school Polaroid picture. The application once loaded sits on your desktop, the icon is…well a Polaroid camera. Take the picture you want to transform and drag it onto the application and it automatically outputs a Polaroid picture. Above is an example that I happen to put together, as you can see it puts that old school washed out film look on it. Very cool, and its’ free.

So by now you’ve seen that famous Shepard Fairey print Barack Obama. A lot of peeps since then has tried to emulate and imitate, including yours truly on some pictures. Anyways this is by far the easiest way to achieve that look that I’ve come across. Here’s a plug-in developed by Dubi Kaufmann for Mac users only. This is a plug-in for the application Photo Booth, which comes loaded on all Macs. Once installed you can have your own look-a-like image. It’s a bit finicky and requires a certain background and blah blah blah. Anyways have a look at the ones I did of myself. I had to go shirtless in the top picture, you can see a bit of my tattoo on the left shoulder.
