The annual Livestock Block party went off yesterday and this years was I-N-S-A-N-E! Definitely the busiest that I’ve seen it, every nook and cranny on the block was jammed with people. This event of course for Vancouverites usually marks that the end Summer is near and it’s our last chance to celebrate all that is Summer. There was of course the skate ramp with a handful of skaters showing off tricks and grindin’ the halfpipe. There was also a wooden-linoleum floor setup for the B-Boy / B-Girl competition, which was hype. I’m not sure who opened in terms of music, but I’m guessing DJ Age and M!G!H!, I arrived when DJ Marvel was moving the crowd and Rico Uno went up right after him (both pictured above). DJ Hedspin provided the majority of the breaks for the B-Boy / B-Girl competition, while DJ Fashen came on last to bat clean up and had the crowd boogie-ing. It was clear everyone, well okay at least the majority, like 99.9% of the people had a great time, I mean it’s pretty hard not to at a jam like this. Great music, tons of cuties and booze everywhere. Til we meet again next year.
