Cut Copy played to a sold out crowd Tuesday April 29th at Richards on Richards here in Vancouver and it was one of the best (if not THE best) events I’ve attended in a minute, as expected. As you can probably tell by how late this is being posted after the show - it was one hell of a par-tay.
Opening act Black Kids were a nice addition to the evening and Cut Copy’s DJ set at the after party was also great. Even though Caprice isn’t a favorite venue of mine by any means, the Fleetwood Mac/Lifelike mix (so seamless it sounds like an official remix) from the So Cosmic mixtape was definitely worth staying out for.
Go *here* for a video clip of “Hearts on Fire” from the show which I managed to snag from a friends camera (who apparently loves to sing along and howl). Yes, its very low-fi but it gives you an idea of the tremendously fun vibe of the night without spoiling the experience if you haven’t caught them live in your city just yet.
Also, be sure to check back here Monday May 5th for an EXCLUSIVE Killahbeez.com interview with Cut Copy!
