Yet another banger from my peoples Keys N Krates. This time around its Mos Def’s classic “Miss Fat Booty”.
The clip is a really short one shot by a seemingly drunk fan at their big return home to a sold out crowd @ Toronto’s Wrongbar.
Enjoy - as I’m sure you will.
*Sidenote - Keys N Krates are currently working tour dates down the US west coast and in the NY/Philly/DC area for the coming months. And their first Mixtape is in the works as well. Stay Posted!
Man…lol…I’m starting to feel like a bit of a Modular groupie - but for real, Ladyhawke’s“Paris is Burning” is already such a great track - add Cut Copy’s magic touch and it pretty much puts this jam at the top ranks of my summer playlist. The percussion is ridiculous and the grand build up to the chorus will have you cutting the rug/pumping your fist (whichever you’re more prone to) once it kicks.
Now we just gotta wait for this to release in North America, but in the meantime have a taste.
A new take on my favorite track from The Presets latest album, Apocalypso on Modular Recordings. And unlike many of these types of gems, this one is available on itunes.
“This Boy’s In Love” remixed by Lifelike, who pretty much comes correct on every remix I’ve heard by him. Indulge, ALL OF MY PEOPLE!!
P.S. I’m not responsible if you get up and start wilding out like one of those silhouettes in the itunesĀ commercials and get fired for doing so.
The original of this Mercy Arms song is already cool (From the Kept Low EP), but this remix is amazing (which I found on itunes).
The synth sounds, percussion, melody, lyrics…. pretty much everything is undeniably dope, but the change-up at 1:48 is absolutely killer. Apparently Cut Copy are beasts on remixing too.
Mercy Arms’ full length album is apparently set to drop sometime in June/July, hit their Myspace page for more info.
Really, what a great result…I sincerely hope these two bands collaborate again.
The original track is good. The Dave Nada x Matt Nordstrom = Nadastrom remix of Estelle’s single is even better. Check it. Hopefully, this will get some air play at The RIPOFF.
