First off Happy Thanksgiving to those in the USA. This is a bit of a freestyle as I really didn’t have anything planned, but then I was flipping through the channels when I saw the video for this song and remembered how sick it was. Check the drum track on this song, to me it’s pretty sick how fast Tré Cool is playing them. Of course the band is Green Day and the track, “Basket Case”, came off of the the groups third record Dookie, which some people felt that the group had sold out, but you know what, WHO GIVES A FUCK. This record was dope from beginning to the end, why the fuck do people hate everytime someone that was underground hits big. Haters hate, that’s what they do best.
The visuals are pretty cool too, with the colors being super saturated and exagerated and those freaky ass masks. Green Day really opened my eyes to the genre of punk and had me going back to listen to classics such as the Ramones, The Clash and later on down the road I’d pick up Blink 182 and Rancid.
It doesn’t really do these guys justice to call Dávila 666 the Puerto Rican Black Lips but if that piques yer interest, read on.
First off, Dávila 666 is a terrible name. If this release didn’t come out on the venerable In The Red Records, I don’t know if I would have given it a listen but it did and thank Christ for that, cuz this is a scorcher of a debut.
If you are digging on the sounds of the aforementioned Black Lips or the King Khan and BBQ Show, this slab of scrappy garage-punk will be right up your alley. Sung entirely in Spanish, this is a true party record with enough variety to keep even your Girl Talk-loving friends entertained.

This is easily the most awesome yet strangest video I have seen in recent memory. Watch as Sir Ben Kingsley takes on his most challenging role yet: Ian MacKaye circa 1980. Continue Reading
A handful of the shows on the tour are NOT all-ages, so we’ve decided to do some all-ages acoustic sets earlier in the day so anyone that may want to see us has a chance. All of these shows will be free in-store kind of things….
