One of Vancouver’s very own talented artists and a friend of Killahbeez, Jeff Hamada, was recently randomly selected by the peoples at Converse in contributing a design to the Converse (Product)Red campaign, the campaign is commissioning a 100 musicians, graphic and graffiti artists from all over the world to create their own piece. We here at Killahbeez have posted a few of the products in the past. 10% of the net wholesale price from the campaign will go towards the charity (Product)Red, which is a global charity that is aiding in the fight against HIV / AIDS in Africa. The design is a drawing of 100 hands, to represent the hands of the world reaching out to help Africa, and the hands of Africa reaching out for help.

So a few days ago Van posted the Lupe Fiasco Chucks x Product(Red), which can be read here. Well Livestock in Vancouver and Toronto is dropping the first three pairs of the Converse x Product(Red) line. These shoes can be copped in store or over the phone, and probably eventually over the web should they last that long.
If you’re wondering what’s with all the collabs its because Converse has employed 100 artists to create 100 different designs known as “1Hund(Red)”. These are mad limited so don’t sleep and get out there and cop a pair.
Steve Monti designed this “power in numbers” pictured above.
Hit the jump below for pictures of the other two pairs.

Converse is one of the many brands under the (Product)Red umbrella. A collaboration between (Product)Red x Converse and Lupe resulted in these patent leather Chucks. I especially love the red lace eyelets and special (Product)Red inspired tongue tag. No release date was mentioned, but I’m hoping these drop real soon. Plus, its a good feeling that 5-15% of the net sales goes to the Global Fund to eliminate AIDS in Africa.
