Hideo Kambara of KDDI au’s concept Ply Phone is part cell, part printer and and even part projector. Towards the left hand side of the phone are tabs that allow one to access all of the phone’s core functions. I’m a bit surprised that the Ply doesn’t function as a pmp as well. Then again with a printer and projector at one’s disposal in such a small package, playing music and video may be too much to ask. I’m not certain if this concept would ever make it to production stage. However, it would be fun to see how well it performs as a mini printer and projector.
