Canon is set to drop their latest DSLR in the form of the 1D Mark IV. This DSLR is a BEAST! It comes packed with 16 megapixel, ISO up to 12,800 but expandable to 102,400, 45-point auto focus system, 10 frames per second bursts annnnnnd 1080p video compared to Nikon D3s’ 780p. I’m an avid user of Nikon, started with the D60 and gradually moved up to the D90 and looking to make a move some time to a D3s or whatever more awesomer comes out at the time, but this Canon truly is a jaw dropper. Available late December for $5000.

Wow, that’s all I have to say. The Nikon D90 is the world’s first digital SLR camera to do HD video recording, yep you read it. As well as taking some quality pictures as Nikon cameras are known for, this beast also does HD video at 720p/24fps. The D90 features a CMOS image sensor and 12.3 megapixels, as well as a broad range of ISO (200 to 3200) and a 3-inch high resolution LCD screen with a Live View shooting mode, which I believe is the first for Nikon. The body will be available for around $1,000. Definitely has me thinking of selling my D60 for this beauty.

Recently released is this beauty of a camera, the Nikon D700 ($3,000). This latest pro-level digital SLR camera is a model below the Nikon D3. The features on the camera includes:

• 12.1-megapixel
• ISO sensitivity up to 6400
• Three-inch, super-density 920,000-dot VGA color monitor
• Two Live View shooting modes
