Well 2009 is nearing it’s end and everybody has dropped their lists of favorite albums, remixes, songs, etc. (Check our top 10 albums of 2009 here) Generally we compile the Boner Jams based on downloads for the month and make a mini-mix, for this one we’ve taken a slightly different approach, we’ve selected some of our favorite songs from this past year and made them into one big ass mix, clocking in just under 2 hours. These are just a few of our favorite songs, because let’s be honest, if we had to compile all of our fav songs this shit would be like 6 hours long. So obviously with that said there were some stuff left off, which was really hard to be honest, and this mix nearly became the best of Fred Falke, Lifelike, Classixx, The Twelves and Grandtheft. SERIOUSLY!

Coming from Houston and Illy, formerly of THE RIPOFF parties,  is a new project called TIGHTEN UP! TRV$DJAM – Fix Your Face 2 Mixtape

Todays’ jam is just a couple of songs, its a straight up whole mixtape starring Kid Cudi. Dat Kid From Cleveland contains a bunch of new joints, previews, etc as well as the song “I Poke Her Face”. I have to say, Kid Cudi actually somewhat makes me believe in hip-hop again, real talk.

Here’s a fresh project a dude by the name of Adrian Champion. He’s taken The White Stripes instrumentals and samples and sprinkled it with acapellas from some of your favorite hip-hop artist. What resulted is a mixtape with 13 tracks of well polished mixes. The closest thing that pops to mind is the Danger Mouse Grey album, but this one is slightly different as it isn’t fusing two albums.

Here’s a word from Adrian Champion:

I started digging through my collection and fitting all the pieces together. My goal was to use only samples from The White Stripes and a cappellas from classic songs and my favorite emcees. And of course, I had to rap on one of the tracks myself, with my man Brian Jacobs on the hook.

So there it is, hip-hop fans, meet The White Stripes.

Brooklyn DJ, DJ Jayceeoh, is back with volume 2 of his Super 7 mixtape series. This week’s Mixtape Monday is from a party out in West London that takes place on the 2nd Friday of every month at The Westbury, the name of this party: Dance on Glass. The latest party that took place had Breakbot playing what he plays best, disco grooves and funk. To help promote the party the Dance on Glass crew released a Breakbot Disco Mini Mix. This mix may only be 26 mins long, but its got some great jams on here and the vibe is steady throughout, constantly making you say to yourself ‘OHHH SHIT!” and wishing that you were at the party that recently took place. Breakbot Disco Mini Mix

Stones Throw has recently dropped the latest “Thank You Jay Dee” series mixes on their website, which is a collection of J Dilla’s joints nicely mixed for your listening pleasures. This weeks Mixtape Monday is by no means a new mix, in fact it officially dropped in January of 2008, but it’s waaaay too banging to not share this gem. NLLR (No Love Lost Records) is a mixtape project that works with up and coming artists and occasionally established ones as well to bring music fans exclusive mixes. The project has now seen over 1.25 million downloads since 2007, pretty sick number. This particular one is done by Anoraak, who is one of Killahbeez’s favorite artists, part of the VALERIE crew. He’s also done some of the dopest remixes out there as well as releasing the mini-album Nightdrive With You, which has some ridiculous jams on there.

This mix is a good representation of the mans’ style of music and quite frankly I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since it was sent to me by my cousin.

On Saturday we dropped DJ Pumps 2006 mixtape called Steady Rockin’, that mixtape contained some dope breaks, funk and disco records.
