By now this video has already been made several rounds on the internets.  But I can’t help watch over and over how quickly the thieves made out with all that Apple goodness.  In total, 23 MacBook Pro’s, 14 iPhones and 9 iPod Touch were lifted by a team of 5.  What I’m wondering is how the dudes will unload the stolen goods considering they don’t have power cables and boxes.

I’m not certain how zen my cousin’s condo looks these days.  But with the thought of his dual monitors, I’m sure he would appreciate the existence of Twelve South’s BookArc for his home office.  With a sleek design that saves space, converts a MacBook into a psuedo desktop and maximizes its performance, this is a no brainer cop.  Currently BookArc is available at any Apple Store and retails for $49.99.

Ok so its seldom that I ever speak about Mac products.  Simply put, I’m still a PC guy thats hesitant to buy a MacBook or take advantage of my company’s hookup with the iPhone.  But its hard not to take notice of this uber limited Stealth MacBook Pro by Colorware.  Which in my mind reminds me a lot of my favoite paint job on highly tuned European cars.  Dave first introduced me to Colorware when he was on a mission to reskin his Blackberry and his MacBook Pro.  According to my cousin, Colorware is the authority of customizing MacBooks and Blackberrys.  With the super limited 10 unit only Stealth MacBook Pro, I don’t doubt it.  Only catch is this guy costs $8k.  If you have the money to splurge, Colorware may be of service.

If Apple ever decides to release a netbook, I’d love for it to resemble designer Tommaso Gecchelin’s ‘MacBook Touch‘ concept.  This mockup of a netbook features OLED touchscreen that is flexible due to Gecchelin’s iSpine technology.  Flexibity allows the ‘MacBook Touch‘ to take on the role of a tablet, touchscreen notebook, digital canvas and desktop all in one small package.  To keep this versatile notebook at its trimmest, all ports are housed under a peripheral device appropriately labeled, the “Magic Dock.”  Apple, are you taking notes?

Apple never ceases to amaze with its stable of highly intuitive products.  Recently launched is the third generation Shuffle, which by far is the best bang for the buck.  Size wise, its a bit smaller than the last generation Shuffle, but packs 4x amount of space with 4 gigs.  With the controls relocated near the right earbud, the base unit is given a minimal and sleek anodized aluminum body.  The only button is located on top of the unit allowing the user to select shuffle, continual play or off.  Aesthetics wise, I am completely sold on the stainless silver clip.  The biggest sell point however is not only design.  Rather with gen 3, Apple features VoiceOver.  By pressing and holding the middle depressed button in the control center, you hear track info.  Mac users get to listen to a Stephen Hawking like voice, while PC users can hear their track selection and/or play list from Mrs. Hawking.  Thats right, gen 3 also receives syncing your individualized iTunes playlists.  At $79, this is a no brainer cop.  I’ve been wanting to get another iPod on top of my first gen touch for convenience sake.

I have definitely had my share of the cupcake phenomenon, but MAC may have turned me around a bit. Set to launch March 19th (what would be their Spring collection), Sugarsweet is based on the uber-popular confectionary treats, even down to the color palette. Anyone who’s even seen a few S/S ‘09 shows knows that the color story consists of some of the most fun colors in recent memory – mint green, cotton candy pink, lavender, peach, light corals and baby blue. Pastels are back in a big way, and MAC has some of the best offerings for those girls looking to chase away those winter blues. The collection features a re-launch of the classic lipstick Bubbles; a pale vanilla shade that has reached almost iconic status within the industry and is seemingly mythical due to the fact that it was discontinued years ago. MAC has been slowly introducing some more adventurous colors over the past few weeks but there will be no denying that spring has sprung once this delicious collection hits the streets!

MAC’s super-hyped collaboration with Hello Kitty launched on Saturday, almost a full week early & just in time for Valentine’s Day. The collection is one of the biggest in MAC’s history; if you think they’re stopping at makeup this time around, you’d be dead wrong.

The collection features two distinct looks: Mild Kitty & Wild Kitty, each featuring it’s own shadow quad, lipsticks & lipglasses. Throw in Hello Kitty lashes (half lashes with a feline feel), beauty powders, blushes, pigments & reflects glitter (normally a MAC PRO product only or with exclusive launches), 3 nail laquers with Hello Kitty designs on the bottles (also a first) & glitter eyeliners. All of the packaging features embossed designs & a glossy, sparkly finish.

Beyond the color story, MAC Stores are featuring an exclusive Hello Kitty brush set, a plush doll, charm bracelets & keychain mirrors. Maccosmetics.com is offering an exclusive reversible tote featuring the Pucci-esque print of the product packaging. I’ve had mine for about a month & it’s been quite a hit.

Hello Kitty 2.0 is called Kitty Kouture & will only be featured at MAC Store locations. Official release date for this collection is set at March 5th, but may very well be bumped up. Kitty Kouture features Dazzleglass with Swarovski crystal charms & mystery powders in metal compacts covered in Swarovski crystals. Kouture retails at $28-$90 & will be more limited than the basic collection. These are (obviously) definite collectors items, so my only issue is that it’s going to be so hard to use something so pretty!

MAC also released a ridiculous promotional video for the collection & it’s funny to note that the one that I saw a month ago (I’m assuming it was industry only) was substantially more pornographic (i liked this one more, go figure) & definitely NSFW. This one is more tame, but your boss might think you’re a bit strange.

Barbie has managed to score the ultimate party in celebration of the half century mark – New York Fashion Week next month. Marking the second collaboration with a major cosmetic brand in as many years (following MAC’s blowout collection in Spring ‘07), Stila is launching a limited edition collection of 5 Barbie Beauty Cans designed to correspond to various eras in the evolution of the Barbie we have come to know and love. The sets will be sold exclusively at Saks in New York during the Fashion Week hoopla, but thanks to the internets, you can preorder them now from Sephora. Stila’s makeup artists will actually be at next month’s Fashion Week in New York City, debuting a look that is sure to throw some of the normally stuffy industry insiders for quite a loop. Now if that’s not enough, the icing on the cake seems to be that Barbie has actually landed a show during Fashion Week featuring the products and an expanded collection for Fall 2009. So I’ve just got one question – is there anything Barbie can’t do?

So by now you’ve seen that famous Shepard Fairey print Barack Obama. A lot of peeps since then has tried to emulate and imitate, including yours truly on some pictures. Anyways this is by far the easiest way to achieve that look that I’ve come across. Here’s a plug-in developed by Dubi Kaufmann for Mac users only. This is a plug-in for the application Photo Booth, which comes loaded on all Macs. Once installed you can have your own look-a-like image. It’s a bit finicky and requires a certain background and blah blah blah. Anyways have a look at the ones I did of myself. I had to go shirtless in the top picture, you can see a bit of my tattoo on the left shoulder.

Ever wish you had all your contacts in one convient spot. Well apparently Soocial is presenting that solution for all of us there allowing us to sync all our contacts from Outlook, Blackberry, cell phones, Gmail and Mac address books. The contact management solution appears to be a free service, but I’m not super positive on that so I’m gonna give it a shot and let you all know what I think. Talk about the Bold and the Beautiful. MAC Cosmetics and Asian designer Toshikazu Iwaya (behind the line DressCamp), have collaborated for a crazy bright line. It’s a very small collection: an eye shade combo of hot pinks, bronze, gold and yellow, a lipstick in the brightest pink around and two lipgloss colours. And it is all sold out online, so it might be a battle to get your hands on it in stores. I love the wacky, vibrant colours. It’s totally wild.

There is a a new collaboration for MAC Cosmetics. This time, it’s with Heatherette, a New York fashion house that has Richie Rich and Traver Rains along for the ride. Actually, they are the Heatherette designers. And the makeup line is vibrant and hot. Hot blue, hot pink, hot orange, hot purple, it’s all hot. It is all glitz and ritz.

Valentine’s Day must be looming. MAC Cosmetics has selected someproducts perfect for lips for Valentine’s. Who would have thought, with product shades like Oversexed, Big Kiss, Hug Me and Please Me. MAC suggests going all out with a prep and primer colour free base, followed by a liner in a shade like Pink Treat. Top it off with a lipstick and gloss product, all in shades of pink, red or purple.
