Mixtape Monday Part II: Boys Noize @ Sonar Festival 6.21.08

Posted on 23 June 2008 by Van

You’re probably wondering why two Mixtape Mondays are posted up.  No mistake was made, although we like to keep things consistent here on Killahbeez.  The answer is very simple.  Anything from Alex Ridha aka Boys Noize is too good to pass up on.  For readers of Killahbeez that need their electro fix every day starting today, enjoy.

And here’s the zShare.

Mixtape Mondays: Them Jeans XLR8R Podcast Exclusive Mix

Posted on 17 March 2008 by Van

themjeans.jpg

Via Kidz by Colette, is an ethereal mixtape by Them Jeans for XLR8R magazine. The multi faceted Them Jeans is a graphic designer, producer and by the sound of this mixtape a damn selector of music! Take a listen for yourself. I started a new habit of applying bold text to tracks I felt that stood out. Lots of replay and rewind went on when I played this in my car.

Download it here.

Digitalism x Cajuan Mix

Posted on 25 February 2008 by Van

When I saw this mix on Kidz By Colette, it was a no brainer dl. Kitsune Maison, Ed Banger and DFA and mixed by both Digitalism and Cajuan? The Hercules and Love Affair track also helped seal the deal. Listen to the mix below and dl it here. Also, a track listing is on the back side. Off topic, I’m curious as to why hasn’t SebastiAn given a name to his new track yet.

If you’re into electro, you should know Ed Banger.  If you know Ed Banger, you’re probably familiar with all those blog sites that push forth good electro and indie music.  Aside from Missingtoof, BigStereo and Kidz by Colette, Fluokids is another music blog I frequent.  Redhotcar and Pharrell of Fluokids will bless DC with a set alongside the Sleaze crew.  Plus, I’m always down to support my friends, Matt Nordstrom and James “Simon” Pattee.  I’m going to end this post with a quote from my home girl, Dana.

“Come, it will Rule.”
