New Black Kids video, “Hurricane Jane”, which is off of their debut album Partie Traumatic. The album is expected to drop on July 7th in the UK and July 22nd in North America. Video is directed by Rozan & Schmeltz (Surface 2 Air Paris studio), the same duo that created the promo for Justice vs Simian indie hit “We Are Your Friends”, as well as Chromeo’s video for “Tenderoni”.
Here’s the freestyle that blew Wale up and brought him to the forefront. This is the official video that was just recently released and is directed by Todd Angkasuwan. He’s done videos for Jin, KRS-One, Sheek Louch and RZA to name a few. Oh and if you didn’t already know the actual song he’s rhyming over is by Justice and it’s called “D.A.N.C.E.”.
Here’s a new remix from Immuzikation. They taken Santogold’s “L.E.S Artistes” and mashed it up with Justice’s “D.A.N.C.E” and what we end up having is a whole lot of dance goodness. Have a listen and if you like, download it.

The RIPOFF’s sophomore party may only be a few days away. But one half of THE RIPOFF, Chris Houston, dropped this spring time mixtape for all to download. Mixtapes are a tried and true method of brand marketing and promoting. And everybody loves music. Listen to the Imeem stream below and download it here. As for the party, arrive early. The Ripoff’s new home at the Geisha lounge has premium spacing. See you all there this Wednesday.
Last Friday, Mona Alice Oakenfold posted up the video to Stress. If you own a copy of the Y album, you may agree with me that pretty much all the tracks don’t need to be remixed. In baseline form, they all can hold their own on the dance floor. There are a few producers such as Boys Noize, Jesse Tittsworth and The Hood Internet that did a stellar job on reworking tracks by Justice. So what am I alluding to? Just click play and listen to the Auto remix of Stress. Another reason to look forward to Ed Banger Records Vol. 3.
French DJ duo Justice just released their newest video “Stress.”… And it’s pretty damn stressful to watch!
The beats for the song are intense. Don’t know if I’d be able to have a good time dancing to this one. But what people are buzzing about is how violent the video is. It sorta reminds me of the movie American History X… except in this version, the black kids strike back.
Major collaboration numero deux for Justice and the Surface to Air design collective - the first being the critically acclaimed and MTV awarded video for “We Are Your Friends”.
This time around its leather and denim, which also happens to be limited edition - so be prepared to break out your W.A.L.L.E.T.
Coming up next week is the Coachella music festival, which takes place out in Cali between April 25 - 27. AJK has been trying to convince me that we should head down to this, still currently mulling over whether or not I can take the time off work to go down to this. Recently added to the lineup is PRINCE!!! Man there’s no doubt in my mind this is going to be a great festival, so should you be lucky enough to be out in the California area, most definitely you need to check this out. Other acts include, but not limited to: Fatboy Slim, Diplo, Santogold, Cut Copy, Portishead, M.I.A., Mark Ronson, Little Brother, Uffie, Justice, Chromeo, Simian Mobile Disco and Kid Sister with A-Trak to name a few.
