Google has made life more simple for us - actually, a bit more simple for Apple iPhone and iPod touch users. Google Earth is a new application that provides access to satellite and aerial images of the world. To download the free application, visit the iTunes Store and search for “Google Earth.”
If you do not have an iPhone or iPhone touch, you can go to the original Google Earth site by clicking here.
Heckler Design’s OneLessDesk is the solution to individuals that don’t have a lot of space to work with and can’t stand clutter. My boy, Scotty Bebop, comes to mind as that individual. With easy assembly (only the feet need to be screwed on), clean lines and its wire management system, OneLessDesk is a smart buy at $649.
Music Skins recently released some designs submitted by Mishka. Of the 4 are the oh so loved Bear Mop, Starry Eyes, Keep Watch Eyeball and Skyway Trippers. There are a broad range of devices the skins can be applied to include most Apple products, Blackberry Curve and even the Motorola RAZR. Head over to back to see the other available designs as applied on an iPhone. Easily, I would pick up the Bear Mop skin for my iPod Touch. But I’m also a bit torn as I like the Skyway Trippers skin as well.
Following in Apple’s sense of compact and streamlined designs, Moti Barzilay came up with a concept for a portable projector. As you can see in the above picture, the iShow is extremely portable and fail proof. From the looks of things, operation is as simple as pulling both discs to reveal the projector, plugging in the appropriate cables and turning on the device. Not much else was revealed about this gadget. However, I’d be up to see a demo at JR.com or some local retailer in the near future.
Apple yesterday released the 4th generation of the Apple iPod Nano. The Nanos are available in various colors and they are quite the refresh to the line-up. Capacity is available in 8gb or 16gb of goodness, with video capability. Also new is a feature called “Rock and Roll Over”, where you can rotate the iPod nano to flip through album art with Cover Flow, as well as watch movies, tv shows and view photos. Another cool feature is the “Shake to Shuffle”, where you can shake your iPod nano and it will shuffle to a different song in your library, pretty effin’ crazy. Check out apple.com for more info.

New to a select number of Macy’s locations is the addition of an iPod vending machine. Its taken the US some time to embrace an age old Japanese tradition. But at least we’re somewhat caught up. The machines vend anything from iPods to Canon point and shoot cameras. Since this is no ordinary vending machine, the delivery would be handled in a safer manner than that of a bag of chips or soda dropping. I don’t normally venture into a Macy’s, but I can’t wait to test this out.
Waking up to wash my face on this basin would be dreamy. Add in the sound system and my duration in the bathroom would most likely be extended. Definitely not a good look with my current commute. All pessimistic remarks aside, Jan Puylaert’s X-Light Surround Basin is a beautifully designed. Make the leap to see another pic of this dreamy dual function basin.
