Just yesterday a fellow sneaker head and I were discussing how much we love black/grey/yellow as a colorway combination. In her case, she gave mention to a pair of Nike SB’s and a recent pair of Half Cab where the sneaker is mostly black with yellow perforated leather heel. My personal favorites happen to be the Uptown Supremes in black/grey/zest and a pair of Air Max 360/95 hybrids. These “Bumblebee” Air Force 180’s will have to be added to that list of favorite sneakers in black/grey/yellow. The amount of varsity maize gives a good balance to the otherwise overwhelming black durabuck leather. The satin tongue also adds a touch of class. No word was given on a release date, but I’m glad the Air Force 180’s are once again retroed.

Come December 12th is yet another pair of Half Cabs I need in my life. In4mation Hawaii paired up with Vans to create these beautiful denim and houndstooth Vans. They even got the Levi’s look down with red lace eyelets and tongue tag. In addition to the denim facade is a houndstooth pattern on the inner lining and laces. After some wear and tear, the houndtooth pattern cleverly reveals itself on the heel area as well. Only 500 pairs will be available at both the In4mation brick and mortar as well as online.

Here is more love for the almighty Vans Vault Half Cabs. Three colorways are available and I was thinking of which pair I would lean more towards. I’m really sold on the contrasting tongue and eyelets on both the beige and horizon grey pair. At the same time, I’m also fond of the all black upper ones as well. Anyway, these are available at DQM. So give them a call to get prices and size options. Otherwise, keep an eye out for them at your local Vans Vault account. Vans is making Van broke in 2008.

Just in time for the 100 degree weather comes these Vans Half Cabs. I am truly diggin the 80’s inspired Dayglo colorway, as well as the BMX / Rad inspired checkerboard print that winds its way throughout the shoe’s profile. Get me some slim raw denim, a plain white t-shirt, and I’m good with these Vans. Make the jump for additional pics.

Ever since I got a sneak peak of what Vans had in store for us in Summer and Holiday ‘08, I’ve been eagerly anticipating every new drop. I don’t need to stress the point that Vans stays killin’ it with the clean colorways and classic silhouettes. To kick off the month of June, we have the beloved Sk8 Hi in a Watermelon Checkerboard colorway. Once these hit NYC, they will be copped with the quickness.
The legendary skate shoe company keeps it moving with two pairs of Half Cabs. Read more to see pics of these two colorways. Note the attention paid to such small details as two-tone old school sport laces, colored waffle sole, and perforated suede.

2008 has shown Vans can not do wrong. Earlier on, I had posted up the black, gray and red color way Full Cab LX. Along with some other color ways, these black on blacks are also on schedule for a fall release. According to CtotheJL, these high tops are set to drop August 1st. Now my only questions are, “How much and will Elite carry them???”

My heart normally goes out to the Half Cab in the entire line of Vans sneakers. But with this recent Supreme collabo, I’d have to say go with the Chukka in off-white. The collection drops in the LA/NY store on May 22nd and online May 23rd. May 24th is when Supreme Japan fan boys and fan girls can get their fix.

It hasn’t been long since news of the Steve Caballero “Legends” pack and these show up on Sneaker Freaker. The above Full Cab are a throw back to the originals back in the 1980’s. I’m not certain if the originals came in the same color way and materials. Regardless, these Vans are crack and will be copped upon arrival. Be on the look out if you’ve been picking up all the recent Half Cabs like a mad man.
