This week’s Fitted Friday, features a newcomer to the game. Josh Sperber and Lev Mandel teamed up together and founded their own cap company, HELLA TIGHT, and it was from there that they would create a brand that would rep the Bay Area and it’s diverse cultures. So it was a pleasant surprise when these dudes reached out and sent ya boy some fitteds to check out and I have to say “WOW”. Everything about the package is impressive, the fitteds that you order from their site comes in a custom black box and trust me, it ain’t nothin’ like that flimsy ass New Era box, this is some solid cardboard that protects your fitted during the shipping process as well as long after it.

I have to say their fitteds are effin’ top notch, they’re easily on par and in some cases I have to say better then the New Era joints. The quality of the cap is tightly stitched, fabric is of great quality and the inside lining feels great and comfortable. One of the fitteds that HELLA TIGHT sent me was their logo joint called Maylay with the “hT” on the front of the cap and a paisley logo on the side, with tonal paisley stitching all over the hat, while the lining on the inside  lined with detailed stitching all over while the lining on the inside is black satin. Pretty friggin’ sexy I have to say.

So if you want an alternative from the usual New Era joints, then you must not sleep on HELLA TIGHT as they are definitely bringing heaters and it’s not me just saying this, but by checking out their MySpace page, its evident that celebs are feelin’ these as well, as you’ll find David Banner, M-1, Flo Rida, Del Tha Funky Homosapien and both Method Man and Lil’ Wayne have been seen rockin’ the “Hella Belt” joint. Lil’ Wayne can been seen wearing it in the “Got Money” video.

This week’s fitted is out to raise awareness for the environmental issues we face. The Washington Nationals baseball club are teaming up with Planet Green Network to host Planet Green Day on June 4th during the Nationals home game against the Cardinals. These are the actual on-field caps that the players will be wearing during that game, so this shit is definitely mad exclusive. FreshJive recently released some new fitteds in two different patterns. One that has a back to basics feel and another for those that want a bit more texture. Being a plain jane guy, I’d normally settle for the plain bold text logo fitted in wool or mesh. But its hard not to want the “Fairfax Fighters” collection. Especially, when they come in complementary color ways and contrasting eyelets. They are now available at Reserve. For now, make the leap to see all color ways.

Via Strictly Fitted is this New Era and Tradition collab. They’ve taken the classic Dodger hat and flipped the script and did their own custom job on it. Black as the main colorway, with Gold New Era logo, and then touches of purple throughout the hat makes this an instant must have for this season as purple is killin’ it. Remember my post back in January about some new Leaders1354 tees? It also alluded to a new fitted coming out this month to complement the retro Air Tech Challenge II’s. Well here is the final product. According to Leaders1354, the Rebel Leaders fitted will arrive in 2 weeks.

Via Strictly Fitted is this new fitted from 9Grand called “Wings-n-Things”. Why I love this, cus it’s simple and clean for one and secondly it’s the color purple, which from my previous posts AJK and I both believe that this year the color purple is gonna blow.
