After a few 8 inch hit or misses, fans of the Kidrobot Dunny can rejoice as a new numeric series is coming out early September.  Looking at the above lineup, I’m dying to see what Mishka, JK5, Kathie Olivas have in store for us.  And of course, I’m curious about the both of Huck’s pieces.  One being the elusive 1 in 600 golden ticket.  My question is when is Kidrobot going to invite Amy Sol, Audrey Kawasaki and Stella Im Hultberg to design a dunny???

Not much has piqued my interest over at Kidrobot over the past few months.  That is up until the board announced the above collection.  This Simpsons x Kidrobot collabo will have a total of 24 characters along with 3 chases.  This should be a great fix for Simpsons and vinyl fans alike this coming August 21st.  And of course, the big question popping inside all vinyl toy fans is which will be the chase figure.  On a different note, I’m wondering if those are Dunny arms…

It’s been quite some time since I snuck into the forums to find what new Dunny customs exists. SneakSneak, whom I’ve featured on here before, has a new set of 3 inch customs. Labeled, “Vertiginous Whispers”, this set like all of his art work is simply amazing. Not having kept up with the forum, I’m also delighted to see you can order custom work via his site. The AM90 x Talaria’s came to mind when I saw these. Except, these AM90’s aren’t hybrids of any sort. The varsity blue and safety orange colorway is official. Even better, the mudguard is a recipient of a pattern from street artist, Jon Burgerman. No release date was provided, but I’m anxious to see them in person.  For now, make the jump for more pics.

My toy collecting has gone down a notch, but my art print collecting have ramped up. This is one reason why. Aaron Martin aka Angry Woebots is a genius. How often do you see a panda not being lethargic and/or snacking on bamboo? I actually came across Angry Woebot’s work several months ago on the kidrobot forum when he had a show @ KRSF. His Dunny customs were a bit out of my price range. But knowing that he offers affordable art prints is a relief. Limited to 50 signed pieces and at a rate of $60 dollars, these will go fast. This print will drop on next Tuesday at 3pm EST.

Coming this Friday is Huck’s latest Maiko Dunny equipped with a shamisen and tatami matt. Unlike the previous Maiko release, there is only one colorway. There is a slight variation in the kimono print. Even so, this dunny isn’t short of breath-taking with details. The kimono she sports reminds me of what Kagero wore in Ninja Scroll. As always, Huck’s 10 off eight inch dunnys go quick. Same time of 3pm EST, same new price of $600 at Huck’s ebay store. In the meantime, make the leap to see more images.

Just a reminder that the French Dunny Series comes out this Thursday, 2.21.08. Above is a mock case layout provided by a Kidrobot boardmember, TiredChildren. If this were the actual case layout I’d be receiving post-Thursday, I’d have no problems. I started copping dunnys by the cases because I fell into the “completist” trap. This leads to an army of ones I couldn’t resell. So my dilemma is strategy. Do I just log onto KR and buy like ten blind boxes or take my chances and buy a whole case (or 2) of twenty-five? Or do I hunt the individual pieces I like on any of the other online vendors. Clearly this is a pick my poison type of deal. Best of luck to all collectors worldwide this Thursday!

Rumors were circulating on the Kidrobot board months ago of an 8 inch Ledbetter Dunny. After several 3 inch releases, fans have begged for a larger scale one. And now its official. The 8 inch Tiger Dunny by Joe Ledbetter is coming out on March 20th. And of course, there will be an elite chase figure. No pics of the colorway on the chase figure was shown, but I’ll keep y’all updated.
