It’s time, for the crazy fashion people anyway, to start considering the holiday dress. I stumbled across this LaRok dress on the Revolve clothing website, and I have to say it has some great elements going on. First of all, the cut and style is pretty flattering for lots of body types (as long as you can hold up a strapless), because the bottom is loose and wavy and totally feminine. I also love the upper portion of the dress because of the sequined flower detailing. LaRok is fabulous, flirty and fun and will go the distance because the whole vibe of the dress will change with accessories. It’s polyester, the only downside. I also love the graduation of colour in the bottom half.

While she is now based out of New York, Aflalo’s design roots began in L.A., where she created a skirt that was quickly snatched up by Fred Segal. Today, Aflalo is not only the designer of two lines, Yaya and Love Yaya, she is also the co-owner of The Reformation, a store with locations in New York and L.A. that reworks vintage pieces. Nom de Plume Yaya encompasses Aflalo’s bicoastal personality: seasonless, carefree clothes to represent the west, and partygirl, silhouettes with attitude to represent the east.

This Floral Scoop Dress is one of my favorite pieces from the collection. A feminine frock silhouette is accentuated by a wide, scoop neckline, which falls into an elegant deep-V in the back. The 3/4-length sleeves and cinched waist makes the dress flattering for just about any body shape, while the above-the-knee hemline and side pockets keep the dress casual enough to don on any occasion. Made of a polyester and spandex blend for optimum comfort, the dress features a large-scale purple and yellow flower motif – great colors to pop out of fall’s essential black leather jacket, black tights and black leather ankle boots (a great daytime look, might I add). To take this dress into evening, use the large neckline and shorter sleeves to your advantage – pile on some serious accessories! Swap the ankle boots for a pair of patent leather pumps and you’re good to go!

When something this clean and sweet comes along, you sit up and take notice. I’ve always been a fan of design that hints at detail and steps outside the norm. This dress by francis has a familiar silhouette, but with a vintage print. The New York City subway map. My eyes are generally always drawn towards anything with colour. Easily distracted, perhaps. But with this dress, it works. Upon closer inspection, you can study the map details or marvel at the adorable pleating. Flowers were blooming all over S/S 09 catwalks. From muted, grunge-worthy florals on stylish hipster chicks to bright and exotic maxi and tulip dresses, flower power is at its fullest this season. That’s why the Casino Dress by Sunner is essential for any fashionista’s summer wardrobe.

I love this dress mainly because of the zippers. The hoodie also adds a unique touch making it your not so regular LBD. Of course it doesn’t surprise me that I’m drooling over this item because I adore the label.

What can I say, I’m a sucker when it comes to t-shirts, still. I think a part of me will always love that t-shirt and jeans look, probably because it’s so comfy and so easy to pull off. Now I know this t-shirt is ridiculously over priced, but I love the metallic tiger stripes!

That’s right, another item with zippers! This leather clutch is simple and I like the fact that it is a foldover clutch, which only makes it more interesting.

I have been on a mission for lace up boots for a few months already, and I believe that this pair definitely is my ideal lace up flat boot. If I can’t get these, then hopefully I can find something similar.

I’m really loving this nude colored nail polish. Don’t get me wrong, I still love my red colored nails, but sometimes you just want something simple and clean, and that’s what the color nude is all about.

You can never have too many rings, at least I can’t! What attracts me to this ring is not just the price (thank you Forever 21), but I love the jagged sharp points on the ring. Plus it’s gold, a flashy gold, so your hands will most likely stand out.

This skirt is super cute, love the pleats in it. Not only does it come in this purple color, which is one of my favorites, but it comes in black as well (another favorite color).

Just becuase 2008 is over, doesn’t mean the sales are. Hot deals are still rollin’ in, especially online. Check this Liv triangle suspender dress by StyleIN over at one of my fave shops Pixie Market. The dress was originally retailed at $189… not that it wasn’t worth the price then. But when the dress has been newly-reduced to just $113, you can’t help but click on the “buy” button.

This super comfy (think fave pair of warn-in leggings comfy) cotton dress (97% cotton, 3% elastane) hits high at the waist, and the suspenders form a V in the back. The hem measures 31″ from the shoulder, but the exaggerated seam at the waist keep this dress from looking too short. I’m digging this bright electric blue shade, and the triangles definitely lend some graphic interest to both the front and back.

To wear this dress now, slip the dress on over a pair of black leggings or opaque tights and a body-hugging T-shirt or long-sleeved top. Finish the look off with a pair of boots and your winter coat and you’re good to go! When spring and summer arrive, follow the lead of this model and tuck a solid-colored tank on underneath.

When I was a lot younger I used to have a slightly unhealthy obsession with the Addams Family. I was Morticia Addams one Halloween. Then, little Wednesday the next. I even asked my dad if I could sleep in a coffin at one point. Creepy, I know.

Anyways, this cute little dress by Aussie label Insight has brought up all these old childhood feelings in me. The whole grey and black-striped baby doll cut totally screams “zombie schoolgirl,” but in a cool way. The sleeves and collar are slightly undone, and the five button closure down the front is adorned with little gold nautical anchors.

Take this dress to the next level by pairing it with a pair of black opaque tights and patent leather mary janes or jazz flats. Top that off with your broken-in black leather jacket and you’re good to go. Just forget about the braids and the ghost face to match.

One of the season’s hottest trends has to be menswear. Wide-leg trousers, penny loafers, suspenders and bowlers hats have never looked hotter.
