Torrential rain has arrived and is here to stay until at least April, so I’m always lookin’ up new ways to make venturing out into the rain a little less painful and a little more fashionable. This Vivienne Westwood + Melissa collaboration is one of the very best galoshes I’ve seen in a hot minute.

Westwood, one of Britain’s most influencial designers, introduced her avant-garde, Euro punk style to Australian footwear line, Melissa, best known for their grown-up jelly shoes, starting in 2008. Today, their partnership is still going strong, and this lilac colored, bow bootie is straight from their Spring/Summer 10 collection. The boot is made of 100% PVC, features an almond toe and slight heel, and hits just above the ankle. The black PVC bow on front definitely adds a cartoon-ish, feminine twist to your basic rain boot.

The boots are for cool and quirky ladies who aren’t afraid to  turn heads while they slosh through rain puddles. Liven up a pair of dark denim skinnies or basic leggings and an oversized, nubbly sweater for a causal, cozy weekend look. Don’t be afraid to rock these during business hours either. Where them over opaque black nylons and a short skirt or dress when walking around outside and save your precious pumps for the office.

I’ve been spending part of the month looking for some boots, especially with the amount of rain as well as snow we get in the Pacific Northwest, it’s always wise to invest in a pair of boots. Last year my sneakers spent the better part of Winter on top of the heater drying out. When I saw these I immediately wanted a pair. Asides from not being your regular plain black boots these Converse All Star Rain Boots carry that Chuck Taylor flavor, well as much as you can into a boot form. Carin Wester is all about smart, architectural design. The Swedish designer creates both mens and womens collections that are playful yet sharp. This season’s must-have footwear, the Klea Ankle Boot, is perhaps the epitome of her design aesthetic.

After graduating from Beckman’s School of Design in 1998, Wester designed for Paul & Friends for eight seasons before dropping her eponymous collection in 2003. These boots are the perfect footwear for fall/winter as they can be paired up with just about anything and can be worn at any occasion. As usual, there are many, many things that I’m dying to buy for this new year. So here’s a peek at just some of the items that I’ve been wanting to have. Of course I won’t be able to get every item on my list, but a girl can dream right?

I love this dress mainly because of the zippers. The hoodie also adds a unique touch making it your not so regular LBD. Of course it doesn’t surprise me that I’m drooling over this item because I adore the label.

What can I say, I’m a sucker when it comes to t-shirts, still. I think a part of me will always love that t-shirt and jeans look, probably because it’s so comfy and so easy to pull off. Now I know this t-shirt is ridiculously over priced, but I love the metallic tiger stripes!

That’s right, another item with zippers! This leather clutch is simple and I like the fact that it is a foldover clutch, which only makes it more interesting.

I have been on a mission for lace up boots for a few months already, and I believe that this pair definitely is my ideal lace up flat boot. If I can’t get these, then hopefully I can find something similar.

You can never have too many rings, at least I can’t! What attracts me to this ring is not just the price (thank you Forever 21), but I love the jagged sharp points on the ring. Plus it’s gold, a flashy gold, so your hands will most likely stand out.

This skirt is super cute, love the pleats in it. Not only does it come in this purple color, which is one of my favorites, but it comes in black as well (another favorite color).

One thing that gets me excited for winter is the chance to don some of my favorite pairs of boots. Whether it be suede or leather, ankle or thigh-high, fringed, studded or clean-cut, I love them all.

When it’s constantly cold and wet outside and your flats have been through some serious wear and tear – not to mention your feet – it’s time to pack away those cute spring/summer flats and invest in a sturdy pair of boots. In celebration of the recent arrival of U.K. fave Top Shop’s U.S. site (that’s right, no more converting to pounds!) and in anticipation of the New York store, this week’s Too Hot Not to Cop find is straight out of tophop.com. The ankle boot is still going strong this fall, and this adorable version from Albion takes it to the next level. I’m talkin’ patent leather, baby!

This boot has a sexy pointy toe but a sturdy 3 inch heel that won’t have you tumbling down sidewalks. The shiny leather not only lends an elemet of glam to your fall and winter evening looks, but will also work wonders in rain or shine (there is no hope for a Vancouver gal in suede boots).
