Here is Ladyhawke’s latest music video entitled, Dusk Till Dawn. Thankfully the cheesy horror theme doesn’t overshadow this beautiful and very danceable track. In fact, Keith Schofield’s costume characters actually complement the atmosphere by creating a fun Halloween party-esque music video.
So we’re nearing the next RIPOFF party. For this upcoming event, Computer Club and True Pseudo will be blessing DC with their sets, alongside hosts Houston and Scotbot. With Houston booking the talent, there is no question this will be another “must attend” event. If you’re curious, here is a link to some of True Pseudo’s work. And also follow the jump to hear Computer Club’s NLLR mix.
The first jump off proved successful. Thanks to Houston and Scotbot’s efforts, a follow up party is in queue. This upcoming show will have Designer Drugs headlining alongside with Steve McPherson AKA Stereofaith, RRRUMP from Hotlanta and Illy EMCEE from Philly. The RIPOFF commences next Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 at Geisha Lounge. Be there.
The Ripoff begins this Wednesday, April 16th. So now on top of the U street corridor and H street, you can get your electro fix in Georgetown. The Ripoff is an electro and indie dance party held on a monthly basis. The debut will feature a handful of local talent to include Matt Nordstrom, Gavin Holland, Chris Houston and my pal, Scotty Bebop. Noteworthy is the flyer now sports Bigstereo’s logo. Endorsement by a respectable music blog is indeed noteworthy. I’ll be there, will you?
I discovered Ladyhawke’s single back in December on BIGSTEREO. Paris is Burning and Back of the Van instantly went straight to my On-the-Go playlist. Above is the recently released music video to the 80’s inspired track. Back of the Van will be the first single to be released this month with a full scale album due out in June. Watch the Youtube clip, its what I call synth pop heat.
