Well 2009 is nearing it’s end and everybody has dropped their lists of favorite albums, remixes, songs, etc. (Check our top 10 albums of 2009 here) Generally we compile the Boner Jams based on downloads for the month and make a mini-mix, for this one we’ve taken a slightly different approach, we’ve selected some of our favorite songs from this past year and made them into one big ass mix, clocking in just under 2 hours. These are just a few of our favorite songs, because let’s be honest, if we had to compile all of our fav songs this shit would be like 6 hours long. So obviously with that said there were some stuff left off, which was really hard to be honest, and this mix nearly became the best of Fred Falke, Lifelike, Classixx, The Twelves and Grandtheft. SERIOUSLY!

Back near the end of June we did an Afternoon Jams post where we listed the “Top 15 Essential Tunes for the Road“, seen here. Well that post garnered a ridiculous amount of downloads, which tells me y’all likey. Some afternoon tracks to take you through…well the afternoon. Found a Bag Raiders remix of Cut Copy’s “Far Away” and the track is banging. Also in this drop is Phoenix’s “1901″, why does the band sound familiar, cus they recently were on Saturday Night Live and they effin’ killed it, definitely looking forward to their album dropping in May. We also have a demo track here from Leighton Meester, better known as Blair on Gossip Girl, she covered Awesome New Republic’s song “Birthday”, and I have to say it sounds pretty good, but then again it is a cover. Next is Keys n Krates, followers of the site know I have a lot of love for these dudes, live remixing I mean c’mon, that shit is hot, they just released a new track and its Aaliyah’s “One In a Million” remixed KnK’s way. And last but not least I’m checking out the Friendly Fires / White Lies concert tonight, so here’s a remix to set it off for others that are attending.

XXXChange has been on my radar for some time now.  Ever since I heard his unofficial remix of Thom Yorke’s Eraser, I’ve been fiending for more.  Listen to the stream above and download the mix here.   According to Discobelle, this mix is comparable to a live set from XXXChange.  So if you’re in the BK this weekend, XXXChange will be playing at Savalas Friday night.  On a different note, I’m curious as to which artist covered T2’s “Heartbroken“.
