A bit ago, Audrey Kawasaki had mentioned about a solo show at the Mondo Bizzarro Gallery in Rome. With that in mind, Audrey got excited and posted up a preview of all her submissions. All 12 paintings and drawings in-depth can be seen after the jump. The opening reception has actually started roughly 30 minutes ago. However, the pieces will displayed at Mondo Bizzarro until October 2nd. I’m just waiting on word for any if not all of these pieces to become prints and easily accessible.

ISM: a community project presents, “SK8OLOGY” a charity auction group exhibition.
Contributing artists and professional skaters are donating their creative deck canvases to raise awareness and resources in an effort to support Now That You Know, a non-profit organization that helps to provide ambitious girls from developing countries a secure environment for learning and growth. Proceeds will also contribute to benefiting the youth of our society through the artistic enrichment of our community.
Opening reception is on Saturday August 23, 2008 in the Koos Art Center in Long Beach, California.
The show will then travel to San Diego September 4-6 for the Action Sports Retailer (ASR) Trade Show
and off to Florida September 12-14 for the Surf Expo.
I’m glad to see Audrey Kawasaki is conveying her art work onto skate decks. The above piece, “Warazuya” is breathtaking like her other work. Although the idea may seem far fetched, I’m still hoping to see “She Who Dares” as an available art print in the near future.

Coming this Saturday, July 19th, at 1pm PST is Audrey Kawasaki’s latest print, If Only You Were Here. Being a fairly huge fan of her work, this print is a no brainer cop. Two options are given this time. The print can be purchased as is for $220 or framed for $450. I’m thinking of the latter since the image you see above is what you will receive. Moving onward, I hope she gives this option out on all future prints.

Aside the casual visits to Audrey Kawasaki, Edwin Ushiro or Melissa Haslam’s sites, there hasn’t been a print I’ve needed/wanted in my life lately. Aside from the peace over war theme, I am totally speechless towards the sepia colorway. Travis P’s Peace 47 print is a must own. You can cop this at Yo! Depot. $40 for 22 x 30 screenprint is a no-brainer. Meanwhile, make the leap to see a detailed shot of the print.

Coming from Audrey Kawasaki’s blog is a new exclusive print. WIth this project, she’s been working with Brad Keech of Pressure Printing. The above images are of Audrey’s preliminary sketch and Brad’s hand made frames. After having read up a bit on Pressure Printing, I am convinced this will be one of Audrey’s best pieces to date. With that in mind, this next print will be cost guap.

Above is one of Audrey Kawasaki’s latest pieces entitled, “She Who Dares.” Per her blog entry, this piece will be shown at Mondo Bizzarro in Rome this coming September. There are no details of when an art print will release, but this is seriously something I must own.

I was quite pleased when I ordered Audrey Kawasaki’s “Lacey” print nearly three weeks ago. Art prints can be a pain to buy online. Especially, when the term, “Limited to…” is headlining or in the body of a blog posts. OMG Posters had just announced a mini art print set by Stella Im Hultberg. This mini print set is limited to 500 and will retail for $80 at Gallery 1988. Make the leap to see the 2nd half of this mini print set. If you’re feeling Stella’s hard work, contact Gallery 1988 at (323) 937-7088 to purchase this set.

Available this Saturday at 12pm EST is Audrey Kawasaki’s latest print, “Lacey.” I was introduced to Ms. Kawasaki’s work a year and change ago. At first I was intrigued with how well the complexion and hair came out on wooden panels. But lately, my appreciation is aimed at how emotionless and aimless Audrey’s girls look. They all remind me of Enma Ai of the anime series, Hell Girl. This particular print will be going for $150 with 90 available online. If this piece intrigues you, visit her online portfolio.
