It must be nice to be an artist in Sweden or some other socialist utopia where you get a monthly check just to “explore ideas” but does any cool shit ever really come out such a cozy existence? Sometimes the best art comes out of the most oppressive situations.

Paint splatter patterns seem to be rather popular on the runways these days. The art inspired fabric looks fab on everything from dresses to itsy-bitsy bikinis. I actually love the splatter look for the beach. It’s summery, light and a nice refreshing break from the strong, modular patterns that are still gracing almost everything.
