So as you all know the Adidas Original Star Wars Collection recently dropped and while each city may have done something special none could’ve topped what went down in New York City. Snoop Dogg helped kicked things off with the help of Darth Vader and an army of Stormtroopers. Shit gets pretty hardcore and Star Wars nerds brace yourself. For the upcoming Spring and Summer, UNDFTD’s James Bond collaborates once again with David Beckham on a collection of footwear and apparel.  This time around, the footwear portion as seen above are a pair of mid top lifestyle shoes.  I love how the iconic diagonal three stripes are relocated to the ankle area and positioned horizontally.  That and the tan foxing that binds the vulcanized sole to the upper completes the pristine lifestyle sneaker look.  Look for both colorways to arrive at Adidas Originals retailers worldwide soon.

Jubalani means “to celebrate” in native South African language isiZulu. And this 11th official ball of the World Cup is a celebration- of the tournament, of the 2010 host nation, and of the beautiful game. The 11 colors present on the ball represent both the 11 players representing each country on the pitch at one time as well as the 11 languages of South Africa.

Adidas has designed official balls for the World Cup dating back to their 1970 Telstar, and looks to incorporate new technology and functionality into every 4 year release. The Jubalani is no exception, with its use of new grooved texture which provides players with maximum control and goalkeepers with increased grip, which will be needed as at higher altitudes the groove and grip surface is said to make shots travel up to 5% faster. The aerodynamic pattern of grooves boasts “Adidas’ most stable and accurate ball for flight to date.”

“According to the rigorous FIFA specification range for footballs, we have created a ball that is small and heavy allowing for maximum accuracy, perfect grip and exceptionally stable flight,” said Thomas Van Schaik, the Adidas Head of Global Public Relations.

Adidas also utilized a new minimized stitching design which allows for 8 thermally bonded 3D panels to be molded spherically rather than flat paneled molding of footballs in World Cups past.

As if the countdown to June 2010 wasn’t feverish enough for those of us obsessed with the sport, we can now add looking forward to seeing this ball in action to the excitement.
The ball is available for $150 in exact replica or for $40 you can purchase the replica with the same design, but without the grip and groove surface.

The desert boot has been getting a lot of spotlight for some time now.  Adidas presents their version of the popular silhouette, the Adidas ‘Desert Boot’.  The sole derives from the popular Rod Laver’s.  While the suede upper reminds us this is still a pair of desert boots at heart.  The tan and black colorway are dressed up only in suede, leaving the blue pair with a nylon tongue and toebox.  Finishing touches include perforation on the world famous ‘3′ stripes and wax laces.  Look for these to come out real soon.

The recently launched “City Artist” Five-Two-3 pack from adidas Originals, consists of the five most iconic adidas originals’ footwear models designed by five artists from the most influential cities around the globe: New York, London, Paris, Milan and Tokyo. Cutting edge artists, Pochoir, MADSAKI, Dalek, Fakso and KRSN each designed one of these five iconic sneakers giving a radical twist to the ever-classic styles.

Graffiti-artist Pochoir channels his London street art to design a Superstar Shelltoe, the sneaker that he has loyally sported for years, as well as a customized chair for the adidas Originals store in London. Below is are a few clips capturing Pochoir’s creative experience as he discusses his design process and gives an overview of the four other styles designed by his collaborating peers.

Heels Jimmy Choo

OK ladies, this is for your inner wild child. These Jimmy Choo heels are hot enough to funk up any outfit but not so wild that you couldn’t pull them out any old time if you really wanted. These would spice up the ubiquitous little black dress, and also be awesome with jeans. Love the peep toe, love the zebra print leather and the silver trim. But most of all I love the hot pink lightning bolt on the heel. Knock ‘em dead.

Angeline Shoe

I stumbled across Angeline Tournier while schlepping around on the Internet and found these wonderfully light-hearted trainers. The metallic silver leather, the whimsical red heart bursting off the side. What’s not to love? Well, shipping for one thing. Angeline Tournier is a UK based designer and a quick look at her website did not reveal any North American outlets. But with magazines like Marie-Clair promoting the products, that could change. One more thing to love for all of you who can’t mash your foot into a size 6.5: Tournier herself wears a size nine, and strives to make all her shoes look smaller than they really are. And if you want something serious, look elsewhere. Tournier deals in whimsy, glam and fun.

Christian Shoe

There is truly nothing like the black, high-heeled classic. And nobody does it better that Christian Louboutin, whose red sole sets the shiny black off oh, so nicely. These are sexy, but functional in the sense they are a real classic that will go with almost anything. As my black stilettos are wearing out, you can bet I’ll be wishing for these. The Decoltissimo pumps also come in bubblegum pink, white and tan.

Boots Hush Puppies

Hush Puppies have come a long way. I purchased a pair of riding style Hush Puppies last winter after a surprise snowfall and a desperate compulsion for dry, warm feet. I found the quality of the boots to be quite excellent and so comfortable. But, the riding boots are flat and they just don’t quite do it in all circumstances. Since then, I’ve been on the lookout for a pair of heeled Hush Puppies, because, lets face it, having dry feet is pretty awesome. Plus, Hush Puppies will at least give you form and function. I tried on this boot, called Hattie, but it didn’t come in my size. However, it was super comfortable, and also comes in a very nice grey suede. And it’s a nice looking boot too. So if you live on the wet West Coast, you might want to consider all the benefits of waterproof boots.

Stella Shoe

I’ve long been a proponent (and a covetous one at that) about the Stella McCartney and adidas line, wishing and hoping that a pair of the collab’s shoes would magically appear in my closet. No such luck, so I’m hoping these, the LOYDI runner, appear under my tree this year. Now, these are allegedly a runner boasting women specific tooling, according to Shop adidas. It also has the 3-D Formotion technology. Not sure what that all means, but it’s supposed to improve handling and stability. In any case, I wouldn’t be wearing these to the gym because they just look too damn good.

2009 marks the year I really got into Chukka boots.  Recently released by Vael Project is their take on tried and truth silhouette.  I must say I love the non-traditional metal lace grommets.  Taking cues from recent mid top boat shoes and a hint of Clarks Wallabee’s, the ‘Charles’ boot is a must have this winter. Alife Everybody Mono Hiker

You can almost never go wrong with a pair of ALIFEs. With its boot like facade, ALIFE Everybody Mono Hiker is my favorite to date.  Key features include an all black upper with orange lining, checkered orange laces and metal eyelets.  Unlike previous Mono’s, these don’t have the ALIFE branding, but are compensated with stitching details.  If you like what you see, head over to Karmaloop to cop a pair. Vans Vault Chukka Peacoat LX

Vans never ceases to amaze with their line of lifestyle sneakers ranging from the classic Era to the Sk8 Hi’s.  One particular pair I’ve been dying to own is the Peacoat inspired Vans Chukka boot featuring the strap and button.  3 colorways from navy, heather grey to black are available.  Ubiq was one of the first online retailers I’ve seen to carry them.  But due to its popularity, sizes and color are limited as of right now.  Your best bet is to check with your local Vans Vault account.  As far as DC goes, Palace5ive should have them shortly.

Timberland Abington – Work Boot

When it comes to boots, Timberland is the authority.  2009 is the year I’ve taken notice of Timberland’s Abington Collection which reintroduce classic designs.  My favorite of the bunch is the “Work Boot.” I’m biased by this silhouette due to its mid-top cut and heel tab.  And I just love the clean simple lines.

Nike Air Zoom Toki Rustic/Sail

Ok so I’m stuck on the baroque brown and other earthy colors yet again.  Nike’s take on the Chukka boot features a perforated swoosh, two tone piping and a vulcanized sole.  All minor details that make a classic even better.  They should be available now at any retailer that has a Nike Sportswear account.

Bloated Penguin’s Top 5:

Nike Air Max 1

First up, you gotta go classic; and what’s more classic than the original Nike Air Max 1? The revolutionary running show debuted in 1987 and gave runners the ability to “walk on air.” As one of the very first Nike styles to feature the exposed air bubble in the sole, the Air Max 1 stands for more than just running performance now. The historic kick shows people around you that your knowledge of the history of kicks is worth noting. Although extremely difficult to find an original pair from back in 87, Nike has re-released the show for collectors and sneaker aficionados.

Reebok Miami Vice Court Victory

Normally I’m not a huge fan of kicks that focus on geographical location. Sure I appreciate the fact that people like to show their national/state pride, but I think I’m just getting a little tired of a lot of shoe companies shoveling out NYC Editions or something. Anyways, because of this, I was a little surprised at how much I really like the Reebok Miami Vice Court Victory. Complete with a retro 80’s feel and a 90’s pump, the Miami Vice actually has some original style. Check the flamingo on the back and the original orange pump on the tongue. Not bad if you wanna sport something a little bit louder than usual. Buy Here

Nike Patta Air Max 1

Alright alright, I know what you’re thinking. “This fool gets off on his AM1’s,” which I guess is kind of true, but also pretty gross so I’ll stop there. The Nike Patta Air Max 1 debute in Amsterdam earlier this year and has finally hit North American sneaker shops. The tennis ball green finish and Patta branded tongue enhance the classic shoe design. If you’re an AM1 fan, the Patta is the limited edition style you’ve been waiting for all year.

Nike Star Classics

Whoa whoa whoa, what makes these kicks so special? Well for starters they are comfy as Hell. The low-cut Nike Star Classics are exactly what the name says. They are the All-Stars of classic kicks. Everyone and their pint sized purse living dog has a pair of Chucks these days so if you’re looking for some original style with a similar comfort level, the Star Classics are a the way to go. Also, the kick plays a special homage to a sport we all love and never knew there was a shoe for – Table Tennis.

Jordan IV Retro (Black and White Edition)

To round out this holiday list of sneaker goodies I’m going back in time again. The Air Jordan IV has always been my favorite of all time. I know the XI has a Twilight-sized following but for me, the quintessential Jordan kick has always been the IV. Jordan himself actually didn’t win a championship in these kicks, but this was the very first internationally distributed Air Jordan shoe. People all over the world were finally able to purchase, wear and be like Mike. This particular color scheme was released as a retro classic back in 1999. A lot of sneaker-heads felt Nike had gone too far with the minimal changes to the logo, but I for one quite like the black and white with cement.

Blazer

The blazer has been the trend of the season for a reason: you can pair a blazer with practically anything and the anything all of a sudden looks great. Well maybe not sweat pants, but almost anything else. Jeans, simple shirt, hot shoes, and a blazer? Hollllaaaa! Try Halogen’s Wool Boyfriend Jacket or if you want to spice up the details a bit, try J Crew’s Tuxedo Jacket.

Black Jeans

I love black jeans. They seem to be readily available in the “skinny jean” style but if you look hard enough, you can find a couple boot leg cuts out there. They go with anything. You can dress them down or up. Oh and they’re slimming so forget about “do these jeans make my butt look big?” Try True Religion’s Disco Billy Black in Supervixen or AG Jeans’ The Angel in Coated Black.

Plain t’s

Honestly, even Fruit of the Loom will do. A plain t-shirt can be so adaptable. Add a skinny belt and long necklace and you have a great look. Throw a blazer over that look and you’ve just hit four major trends. Graphic t-shirts can be good too as long as the graphic isn’t too crazy. There’s a time and a place for crazy graphics and that time isn’t often. I would recommend plain t-shirts in an assortment of colors or t-shirts with relatively monochromatic patterns. Monrow has great t-shirts, try their Black Studded Tee or their Dauphine V-Neck Tee.

Graphic Stockings

Not sure how to spice up a boring dress? Graphic Stockings! Great for the holidays if paired with a simple dress and those Victorian style shoes, or even with a cute mini and simple slouch boots. Just make sure that if you go the graphic stocking route, don’t wear too many other accessories. Once again, less is more. Forever 21 has a bunch of great graphic stockings, for example, try their Leopard Shadow Tights or their Paisley Fishnets.

Lingerie

Yes, lingerie is clothing, if you don’t agree, take it up with Victoria’s Secret. I know it’s not practical to wear frilly things under your regular clothes, but you can still wear something sexy under jeans and a t-shirt. Why not start the day feeling sexy? Why not let that feeling linger all day? Ugly cotton underwear that look like you stole them from your grams is not good…ever. It’s totally possible to wear simple and comfortable underwear sets that make you feel good. Don’t be lazy. Be sexy. Coach Clutch

Accessories. Gotta love them, especially when they are all fun and cute and funky like, as is this nappa cowhide clutch from Coach. Called new layered op art darcy (I so did not pick the name), it’s a multi-coloured clutch 14 inches long and seven inches tall. Just the right size for a cell phone, lipstick and the necessities. Although this is a new product, just in time for gift giving, I really see this as being complementary to spring and summer clothing, given the corals and pinks. But if you can’t wait, bust it out now. The purple helps make it winter friendly. This clutch has a great texture, which really sets it apart from the typical sleek, straight ones usually flouted.

House of Harlow

Necklaces are tough. Styles come and go. One year it’s fine detail work, the next it’s beads, the next its chunky. I spotted this particular piece from Nicole Ritchie’s House of Harlow line. Basically, it’s a blend of chunky black resin and fine chain detailing. I love the strong shapes and lines on this one. For the holidays, nothing goes likes statement pieces. This is a strong statement, but it’s not overly flashy which improves wearability. I’m really loving black for jewelry right now, especially in bold styles. Black resin is proving to be really hot this season too, and is popping up in lots of designs.

Adidas Bag

Love, love this bag from adidas. I’ve been searching for something sturdy and rectangular to lug around things that just won’t fit in even the largest of purses. Stuff like camera gear and extra pairs of shoes. I wanted something with a functional shape, which I think the adidas airline zip bag really does have that going for it. Particularly with this bag I like the multi zippers in different colours, because boring bags are just that — boring. This avoids looking stuffy but isn’t too flashy so that I’ll quickly tire of it. Dimensions are 15 inches by 11 by five, so it’s big enough but not so big that it will get too heavy too quickly.

Y-3 Scarf

I have a serious soft spot for all that is warm and fuzzy, and Christmas is always a good time to pick up some delicious, fluffy outerwear. This super chunky and long scarf is the brainchild of Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto and adidas, who work together for the Y-3 line. This knit scarf is a wool and acrylic blend, so it’s likely pretty darn soft and durable. The details show it to be a ribbed knit, so it’s is stretchy and dense, great for those Canadian winters. This scarf is great too because it’s simple to look at and is complementary to many jackets. It could go casual or dress. It’s tough to find a really great plain black scarf, so I’m hoping this makes it into my stocking.

Oscar de la Renta

This necklace by Oscar de la Renta is probably the most frivolous of all accessories, but it’s so beautiful it’s hard to resist. Ultra feminine, it looks like it belongs at a rather glamorous party all by itself. The devil is in the details on this one. The beads are pearl embellished glass and twisted up with silver tone metallic chains. The whole thing is tied up to your neck with a simple black ribbon, which perfectly offsets the wintry tone of the whole thing (which probably is quite heavy). Love it, can’t rationalize the price tag — $1,150. A girl can dream though.

Charm Bracelets

Charm Bracelets are really popular this season and my favorites can be found at Betsey Johnson and Juicy Couture. Juicy has “starter” bracelets for $42 and charms like this adorable boombox for $52.

I like the idea of the starter and charms because you can express yourself. But Betsey Johnson makes bracelets with all charms already included like the adorable Stretch Vintage Vicky Charm for only $50. For shoppers on a budget, I’ve also found really cute charms at Aldo for about $15-20

Over the knee boots

Seemingly every fashion watch list has named over the knee boots to this season’s “must haves.” And I think I’ve figured out a few tricks to best rock the look.

If boots have heels, don’t show bare thigh. It’s too much. Flat boots with bare thigh look ok.
I like the rounded tops better. Kind of slimming. Petite girls can wear the look and slimmer thighs are probably needed for this one

We can all salivate over the $1995 pair of Christian Louboutins or look at places like Aldo and their Coffelt boot which cost $120.

Ribbon and beads statement necklaces

The look this season is feminine and frilly. I’ve seen a lot of ribbon and bead necklaces which add a bit of prettiness to an outfit. Even with a biker jacket and something edgy, these necklaces will allow that unexpected touch of girlishness.

Two favorites I’ve seen which epitomize the look are the Twined Rockrose Necklace from Anthropologie for $48 and J Crew’s Galaxy Ribbon and Chain Necklace at $78.

Skinny belts in metallic

I found this one at J Crew for $29.50. It works over a cardigan or little black dress or even gives shape to a winter jacket.

Headbands

Blame Blair Waldorf, but headbands are definitely back in style. I’m in a weird stage trying to decide whether or not to grow out my bangs and these headbands help in keeping my hair back at the office.

Urban Outfitters offers a plumage headband for $24 but I’ve even seen completely adorable ones on sale at Target for $8.

Alicia’s Top 5:

Clutch

Big bags are great and all, but they’re also annoying. Especially when you have to fish around for five minutes to find your lip gloss, keys, whatever. Big bags are convenient for the day time/work. Any other time, a clutch will do. They come simple, they come fancy. You can tuck them under your arm or slip the wrist band around your wrist. Although matching is good, don’t be afraid to liven up your outfit with some pizzazz. Loving Diane Von Furstenberg’s Hawyworth clutch with silver stud embellishments and Giambattista Valli’s Jewel-print embroidered clutch.

Red Lips

Not everyone can pull them off, but if you can, work it girl. Bright red lips can potentially be the only accessory you need. Plus if you decide to pucker up, you don’t want to over accessorize by adding to many other elements to your outfit. Less is more. Try Guerlain’s KissKiss Lipstick Precious Colours Silky & Delicious in Inso de Rouge or MAC’s Lipstick in Lady Danger or Brave Red.

Belts

They come in all widths and colours and they instantly change an outfit. A Baggy shirt is no longer a baggy shirt when you add an appropriate belt. They can liven up plain shirts and dresses and make you look slimmer in box-like/baggy garments. Skinny metallic belts like Ralph Lauren’s Metallic Croco-Embossed & Patent Leather Reversible Belt, go with everything. Or try something with more pizzazz like Arden B’s Mixed Flower Grosgrain Belt.

Scarves

I don’t think scarves can ever go out of style. Not only are they essential for hiding you from the elements, they can be oh so fashionable. Scarves can brighten up a totally awesome yet monochromatic outfit (you’ll want to pick a thin scarf that you can wear all day if not you’re back to monochromatic-ville). You can get thick scarves to keep you warm, or lighter ones which pretty much only act as an accessory. Any colour, any pattern, tassel or no tassel… scarves are a must have. Try something thin and silky like Marc Jacobs Swirl Paisley Scarf. Or for a more casual look try Madewell’s Print Holey Long Scarf.

Chunky Necklaces

Mr.T is proud of us chunky necklace wearers. Chunky jewellery is always good. One piece of chunky jewellery can make/accessorize your entire outfit. Take the boredom out of jeans and t-shirt with a great chunky necklace. Wearing a plain dress over the holidays? How about some graphic stockings and a chunky necklace? Baddabing, baddabang, your outfit is complete. Beauty Bible

The first thing on top of my list for must have beauty products isn’t exactly a beauty product, but it’s way, way more useful.

I recently picked up a library copy of The Original Beauty Bible by Paula Begoun, a consumer reporter who has written 18 books about beauty and is called, fondly I suppose, The Cosmetic Cop. Basically, she explores modern marketing about makeup and cosmetics but actually does her homework and finds out what is going on behind the scenes. This book is eye opening – it forces the reader to think logically instead of emotionally to examine the marketing being used to sell products and uncovers which beauty companies are actually owned by which companies and it uses real science to talk about what is good for one’s skin. As it turns out, all those so-called scientific studies cosmetic companies use aren’t that scientific after all.

This isn’t a new book, but it’s new to me and this year the third edition was released, all revised and update. Check out this book before you buy another “miracle” skincare product.

Lola

I fell for the bottle on this one. Marc Jacobs release this perfume, called Lola in the summer, but before I smelled the perfume, there was the bottle. It’s a lovely, purpleish shape for one thing. But out of the top comes this gorgeous bouquet of flowers in rich primary colours. The flowers feel to be made of something slightly rubbery, but they are kind of flexible and fun. It’s so nice to see a bottle not designed to be classy or pretentious, but fun and spunky. It really is representative of the best qualities of Jacobs clothing line. I love it! The perfume apparently, it smells like pink peppercorn (huh?), pear d’anjou, ruby red grapefruit, fuchsia peony, rose, geranium, vanilla, tonka bean and creamy musk. Whatever all that means. It smells really pretty, light, fresh and summery. Good enough for me. I’m definitely gunning for this. Nail Polish

I have been searching for the perfect fuchsia coloured nail polish. I haven’t quite found it yet, but I’m pretty happy with L’Oreal’s Drama Queen shade of Pro Manicure, which says it will last seven days. I’m not feeling confident about that no chip thing, but the whole colour line is pretty decent. I also love the Blush it Off shade, which is a grey brown colour, and a really fun, pretty shade called Party Hop, which is grey-purple. I’m seeing a grey trend here. Also loving some of the purple shades for winter, including Don’t Wait Up. Purple nail polish is hot. The L’Oreal website says the nail polish doesn’t contain formaldehyde, toluene or phthalates, which I kind of see as good thing. So I might beg for a couple of bottles of these polishes in my stocking.

MAC Eye Shadow

Holiday season means holiday makeup. I check out MAC Cosmetics to see what it was offering up, and it was the eye shadows from the Magic, Mirth and Mischief holiday line that caught my eye. The shades come with two colours per compact. There are a few unusual but really great pairings. I just wasn’t thinking of turquoise blue and sliver together on my eyelids I guess. That one wasn’t my favourite though. I really love the lilac and silver package, and the deep blue burgundy and gold combo, called It’s a Miracle (pictured). It has just the right amount of glam to get you through party after party, but is just fine for daytime, if you go easy on the layers. The shadows contain a bit of shimmer too, so you can sparkle.

Sephora Nails

I think nail polish is my new favourite accessory. Let’s face it — your nails can make or break and outfit — if you’re feeling dramatic about it anyway. OPI has a line just for Sephora called Mermaid in the Shade, and I seriously love the colours. Grays, blues, and greens — it’s all just so great. The Mediterranean island of Capri inspires it. Some of the shades have a bit of a sparkle in them, but they always have a more flat counterpart, which is nice to see. I’m particular to the sparkle free shades, as shiny matte is really appealing to me these days. OPI has some other lines just for Sephora, but this one is my fave. It also reminds me of being in Cuba. So if you need a little bit of paradise this winter, check these shades out.

I own G and Lil’ Angel and I’m a fan of Music too. Love and Baby have a softer more floral scent where Lil’ Angel and Music are more fruit and spice, and G has almost a tropical vibe. The perfumes come in cute bottles designed by Gwen herself. And if you already have a favorite fragrance from the line, you can pick up the new Snowbunnies bottle design.

Urban decay Glide On Eye Pencil

These eyeliners from Urban Decay sell for $17 and come in really cool colors. I have the pencil in “Rockstar” which is a dark eggplant hue. All the colors have a metallic tint and are edgy. My only complaint is that they do need to be sharpened frequently.

Bumble and Bumble Creme de Coco Masque

Selling for $25 at any upscale hair salon is the savior of my over-highlighted hair. Not only does the product smell amazing, it completely moisturized my damaged hair. I use the masque twice weekly and leave it in my hair while I shave or something for 10 minutes. As soon as I rinse, I can feel the difference. And my hair smells like the beach!

Although my current favorite silhouette from Adidas is the Nizza High, I can’t help but appreciate this pair of Forum Mid.  Thanks to oversight from NY’s Nom de Guerre, these mids were redressed in a military boot theme.  Noticeable is the zipper enclosure.  But take a closer look and you’ll also see the laces are slightly waxed.  Lastly, to seal the deal between Adidas and Nom de Guerre, the micomesh tongue tag features both brand’s logos as well as tonal logos on the ankle strap.  If you’re feeling this limited release, Extra Butter in NY currently carries them.

Hailing from the Netherlands, the creative collective known as Leyp recently linked up with Adidas to custom a couch.  The last time I gave mention to the trio was when they were commissioned by Purchaze and Porsche to work on a few pairs of Air Max Lights.  Check out the detailed time lapse clip.  And if you’re like me, you’re probably wondering why they went with the silhouette as opposed to the original character design.

Ignacio Pilotto’s “Brand Keyboard” features household recognized logos in lieu of the respectable letter.  For example, Twitter replaces the letter ‘t” and “a” is replaced by Adidas’s tri-leaf logo.  All 26 letters of the alphabet are covered, but no “Brand” treatment is assigned to number keys or special characters.  It would’ve been fun to see the Guess logo in place of a question mark.

APPLEBUM’s latest fitted ballcap, Kickz Box All Stars, doesn’t need any explaining.  Paying respect to the all the well known brands of footwear, this fitted ball cap is outfitted with a wide array of sneaker boxes screen print.  Embroidery in the form of an Olde English “AB” and spelled out logo can be seen on the front and back respectively.  Currently, Amazingstore has this fitted in limited sizes for those that are interested.

Last month, I made mention on a pair of Adidas Nizza in collaboration with LimitEditions.  Working off a clean silhouette, very minor details were added to keep things fresh.  For this month, the Nizza receives a heather gray PE makeover on the upper.  The heather grey carries throughout the fleece upper, midsole piping and rubber tab on the back of the outsole.  Although less is more with these Nizza’s, you’ll see UNDFTD, HUF, DQM and Good Foot’s logo surrounding the trefoil of the tongue.  Each lace end also carries the name of the indivual boutiques.  The ones in collaboration with LimitEditions recently dropped on Kix-Files.  I would imagine these would follow in May ojr June maybe?

By now you’ve probably seen the latest campaign from Adidas titled “Originals” where they show influential celebs rocking out at a house party. Those ads you’ve been seeing here and there are all cut up versions of the full thing below, which clocks in at just over 2 minutes and 45 seconds. In the commercial you’ll spot celebs such as Estelle (pictured above), Jam Master Jay, Missy Elliot, David Beckham, Kevin Garnett and a ton of other folks. Adidas has been coming out with some really breath taking lifestyle sneakers.  Take for example this LimitEditions collabo high top.  Colorway coordination is at its best on this particular pair of Nizza Hi’s.  By default, I’ve always thought grey and purple were great paired together.  But the addition of teal top lace grommets and rubber Adidas Nizza hit on the back adds more flavor.  Further detailing include contrast stitching and the LimitEditions logo on the tongue tag.  No details were given on a release date, but I wouldn’t hesitate to contact my local Adidas Consortium account.

The Adidas SLVR Label will be taking a step up from performance activewear to include a new line of sportswear, accessories and footwear for women and men.  The SLVR collection will be launched during the grand opening of SLVR’s first storefront in SoHo. The concept of the “pure” collection will include basic pieces in black, white, gray and accents of maroon, orange and blue.

Ray Ban has recently released a colorize kit for their wayfarer so that you customize your own stunnas / hater blockas. The concept is pretty much similar to Adidas’s Adicolor, originally released in the ’80s and then re-released in 2005. This is definitely a great way to create your very own unique piece. Adidas utilizes the one piece technology to produce another clean pair of sneakers.  Start off with the silhouette of the Gazelles.  Add in perforated suede, omit the Gazelle logo and stripes.  And finally, retain the logos on the tongue and heel.  Voila!  You have the perfect pair of sneakers for those that appreciate minimal design.  The embossed tongue tag is a really good look that balances what may seem like a lack of detail.  Head over to Caliroots if these are shoes you must have in your life.
