ISM: a community project presents, “SK8OLOGY” a charity auction group exhibition.
Contributing artists and professional skaters are donating their creative deck canvases to raise awareness and resources in an effort to support Now That You Know, a non-profit organization that helps to provide ambitious girls from developing countries a secure environment for learning and growth. Proceeds will also contribute to benefiting the youth of our society through the artistic enrichment of our community.Opening reception is on Saturday August 23, 2008 in the Koos Art Center in Long Beach, California.
The show will then travel to San Diego September 4-6 for the Action Sports Retailer (ASR) Trade Show
and off to Florida September 12-14 for the Surf Expo.
I’m glad to see Audrey Kawasaki is conveying her art work onto skate decks. The above piece, “Warazuya” is breathtaking like her other work. Although the idea may seem far fetched, I’m still hoping to see “She Who Dares” as an available art print in the near future.
