Estelle premiering her latest video for the song “Come Over” which features Sean Paul. This video is directed by renowned director Lil X, he’s worked on videos for a long laundry list of artists, such as: Usher, Ghostface Killah, Common, Jay-Z, Aaliyah and Kanye West to name drop a few.
“There are two arguments going on in your head,” Estelle answers when asked about her getting up close and personal with Paul on the video. “I can’t be fake, but how can I do this without feeling like a slut?”
“Come Over” is the fifth U.K. single and the second U.S. single from Estelle’s second studio album Shine.
On Thursday night Vancouver was treated by a performance by Keys N Krates. If you’ve been followin’ Killahbeez.com for a minute, we’ve been hypin’ these dudes up and their live shows never fail to blow muthphukkas away. Performing their versions of Aaliyah’s “One in a Million”, Dre and Snoops “Next Episode” and Fugees “Fu-gee-la” amongst others. Check out their Youtube page for all the joints they do. They also performed an original joint that they put together called “Eye Know”, which we featured and can be seen here. The energy from both the crowd and group was crazy and never slowed down for one minute. Vancouver crowds are generally known for being quite weak at live shows, but that reputation was shaken last night. That’s my word. As you all know, I’m quite a fan of these dudes..and pretty much anyone thats doing something creative and progressive for music, regardless of genre.
We’ve all seen their remixes of classics by the Fugees, Aaliyah, Biggie, etc on their Keys N Krates TV channel on Youtube - but here is an upbeat original by them called Eye Know. If this composition is any indication of what they’re working on, you can pretty much considering them a solidified band now. The drums, synths and Steely Dan vocal cuts work together perfectly. The video clip is pretty dope too, but still raw and gives you a hint of what their live show is like.
Speaking of which, Keys N Krates will be back in Vancouver on Thursday May 29th at Barnone. Those of you who attended their show last time can attest to what a great vibe and party it was and I’m sure this time around will only be better.
