Unfortunately New York Fashion Week has come to an end. It was great to see what the newest looks for Fall 09′ would be, but what also excited me was seeing what the attendees at the fashion shows were wearing. Here are some of my favorite celeb looks….

The line debuted in 2005, with Lim stating that “3.1 is about clothes that refine instead of define women.” Not until recently did I realize how much I truly enjoy Lim’s clothing. When you look at his line, it’s as if you are looking at a work of art. The clothes are simply beautiful. It’s easy to see why Lim won the prestigious CFDA Emerging Talent award in 2007.

I have yet to own an item by Rag & Bone, but you can bet that it’s near the top of my list of “designer apparel I want in my closet.” The brand was founded in 2002, by Marcus Wainwright and David Neville. Their inspiration was simply to design clothes that their friends could wear. Not only do they carry a women’s line, but they have a men’s line as well.

If you don’t recognize the name or face, you will now. Jen Brill has style, just ask anybody who lives in NYC. She is the events and publicity director of The Maritime Hotel in New York, and she’s also the fiance of photographer Terry Richardson. She’s currently modeling the latest collection from Sophomore, and the designer of the label, Chrissie Miller, just so happens to be a good friend of hers. Other then attending fashion shows and trendy parties, Brill is a busy New Yorker working on other freelance PR projects for some of her friends. I think it’s safe to say that I have an official girl crush on her.

Lately Nicole Richie has been popping up at different events and looking gorgeous of course. The past few years I have been a big fan of hers and I can say that almost 100% of the time I agree with her fashion choices. I have to give her props (and possibly her stylist) because she always looks so well put together. I’m loving her hair, makeup, and outfits in all three of the pictures below.

So I don’t shop at JCPenny, like ever.  But with the announcement that designer Charlotte Ronson is coming out with a line called “I Heart Ronson” at JCPenny definitely has me thinking twice. The collection is to be priced anywhere from $15-$65 dollars, and will feature tops, jeans, sweaters, jackets, and dresses. The collection will make its debut this Spring (I heard around February), and I absolutely cannot wait!

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen just came out with a coffee table book that is mainly about fashion and how it has inspired their lives and others. The book is titled “Influence” and has many never-before-seen photographs from the girls’ private lives. It also contains interviews with some of their favorite designers and personal fashion icons. It does not surprise me that they have released a book because they embody fashion if you ask me. I definitely recommend snatching a copy of this book at your local bookstore!

If you’re wondering who or what is Eryn brinié, you don’t have to wonder anymore. The Korean-based brand just opened their first U.S. store in September in the SoHo area of New York. For being only a year old, the company already has over 30 retail stores in Korea. The French inspired line can be described as feminine, romantic, and chic. What’s even better is that the brand is not too expensive, in fact the prices are comparable to Uniqlo and Zara. It’s always a special treat when the clothes are affordable but look like high end fashion.

I’m always on the hunt for the perfect t-shirt because I’m never fully satisfied with the one I have on. To me what makes a great t-shirt is the way it is cut, the fabric, and how comfortable it is. The past couple of years I have been wearing American Apparel t-shirts because of their appearance, the soft cotton, and it is relatively cheap (the Poly-Cotton Short Sleeve Shirt is only $18). However I have slowly been getting tired of my AA t-shirts and wondered what else is out there? Below are a couple of my favorites, and yes, they are much pricier but it might just be worth the money.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be the stylist to the stars? In the television show “The Rachel Zoe Project” which airs on Bravo (Tuesday nights at 10/9pm central), it follows the life of celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe. If you love fashion, celebrities, and some drama, then this might be the show for you.

When I first saw previews for the show I didn’t really know what to think. I have never been a huge fan of Rachel Zoe because honestly her face sometimes scares me. I first heard about her when she became Nicole Richie’s personal stylist several years ago and completely transformed Richie’s look. Since then, Zoe’s face has been popping up everywhere including fashion shows and red carpet events.

On the show you see her dressing different celebrities such as Debra Messing and Joy Bryant for a variety of events. Along the way you are introduced to her fashion team Taylor and Brad. And by the way, I think Brad steals the show with his classic sense of style and optimistic personality. There’s just something about a guy who can pull off big glasses and a bow tie. Lets not forget about Zoe’s husband Rodger, who is a new-media entrepreneur, and is always trying to get Zoe to shop less. I find myself liking the show more and more as I watch each episode and I cannot wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the season!

Nylon Magazine recently named her as one of the “It Girls” to watch out for. You may recognize her face from magazines, fashion shows, or even Cobrasnake. At just 24 years of age, this Brit is already making headlines across the globe.

Why exactly is Alexa Chung famous you ask? Aside from being a former fashion model, she’s currently a tv presenter and was a co-host of the British show Popworld. While on the show, she conducted an interview with Panic at the Disco’s lead singer, and in the middle of the interview corrected his grammar causing him to get upset. The clip was on YouTube and had received about 10,000 comments from angry American fans of the band.

Chung’s also known for dating musicians including the singer from the Horrors, a member from Klaxons, and Arctic Monkeys’ lead singer Alex Turner with whom she is currently with. In 2007 Chung started making the “Best Dressed” lists for Vogue, Glamour, and Tatler magazines. She’s famous for her eccentric and laid-back style, sometimes mixing it up with a rock and roll edge. There’s no doubt that this girl can pull off almost any look. Plus it doesn’t hurt when your social circle consists of other fashionistas like Kelly Osbourne, Pixie and Peaches Geldof, and supermodel Agyness Deyn. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing her on many more “Best Dressed” lists in the near future.

As New York’s Fashion Week is coming to an end, I only wish I could have been there, even if it was only for one show. Many designers showcased their ready-to-wear Spring 09′ lines to celebrities, fashion press, and the rest of the fashion industry. Personally I loved a lot of the designer’s collections, from Alexander Wang to Trovata, they were all flawless. Here are three designer’s collections that definitely stood out to me during Fashion Week.

I have got to give Jessica Szohr props for this outfit that she wore to the Dazed and Confused magazine party in NYC the other night. It’s not only cute, but it has that laidback look that a lot of girls are trying to create for themselves. The plaid shirt, the washed out skinny jeans, and the oxford shoes really make the outfit and I love it. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of Jessica in the fashion world and who knows, she may become the next “it girl.”

What makes an outfit just right? I have been a fan of this label for the past few years, and just this past week I had a chance to step into their Los Angeles store for the first time. Not only do they carry women’s clothing and accessories, but they have men’s clothing as well. Fortunately for me, majority of the women’s apparel was on sale. I walked out of the store with one dress that was originally $292 but I got it for $146 which I think is a darn good deal.

The company was founded in 1991 by Wendy Mullin. She grew up in Chicago but later moved to New York City in 1992 where she continued to work on her designs and received more recognition. In 1998 she opened her first store located in New York City. Along with her New York City and Los Angeles locations, she also has stores in Brooklyn and San Francisco. Personally, I love the design of the clothes, even if it does have an A.P.C. feel to them (if you’re familiar with A.P.C.’s apparel then you know what I mean). So hurry up and check it out!

Oh how I love Rachel Bilson and her wonderful sense of style. The girl can dress, there is no doubt about it. I love this outfit for many different reasons. One of the main reasons is the skirt (made by Myne), how cute is it? The color, the pattern, and the shape of it is great and Rachel pulls it off beautifully. I also adore the hat, blazer, and Derek Lam heels. This outfit represents Rachel to the fullest, with its simplicity and uniqueness rolled into one, it is definitely one of a kind.

Like most girls, I use makeup on a daily basis. For years I have been trying to find the perfect makeup products, and I think I have finally found some that I truly love. If you are makeup obsessed like me, then this post will definitely be beneficial for you.

Diorshow Blackout Waterproof mascara ($24) works wonders! Not only does it lengthen your eyelashes, but it thickens them at the same time. Plus, this mascara is waterproof which is always a nice bonus.

I.D. Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals powder foundation ($25) for the face feels so lightweight, you feel like there’s nothing on your face. Not only is it SPF 15, but the powder doesn’t contain the chemicals that would normally cause your skin to breakout.

Smashbox lipgloss ($18) is one of my top choices when it comes to lipgloss. It glides on smooth, and doesn’t leave you with that thick, gooey feeling on your mouth. In addition, your lips are shiny for hours and hours.

Lancome liquid eyeliner ($28) is not only simple to use, but it has a foam tip which is soft and not irritable to the eyes. It’s also great to use if you’re looking for that cat-eye look. But don’t worry, it comes in a variety of colors, (personally I prefer the simple Noir color for myself).

You may be surprised to find out who the two designers behind this label are. At the tender age of 22, they are both considered to be this decade’s style icons. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen may have started their careers as actresses, but they’ve definitely proved themselves as fashion designers and much more.

Born in Sherman Oaks, California, they began acting at only 9 months of age. They shared the role of Michelle Tanner on the popular tv show “Full House” for eight years. When the show ended, they established a company called “Dualstar” in 1993 and began marketing their image. As of 2007, they have an estimated net worth of $100 million, making them the eleventh richest women in entertainment according to Forbes Magazine.

Named after the twins’ siblings, Elizabeth and James was launched in 2007, and has already made it’s mark in the fashion industry. “It’s a clash between masculinity and femininity,” Ashley has stated. Celebrities such as Natalie Portman, Lauren Conrad, and Heidi Klum are all big followers of the label. Their line is currently being sold at Neiman Marcus, Intermix, and Saks Fifth Avenue stores.

I love young and creative designers, and that is exactly what fashion designer Alexander Wang embodies. At only 24 years old, Wang is already making headlines in the fashion world. His collection can be described as clean and classic, but with an urban touch to it.

Wang was born and raised in San Francisco, California. At the age of 18 he left for New York to attend Parsons Design School. During that time he interned at Marc Jacobs, Vogue, and Derek Lam. In his sophmore year he began designing his first collection, and in 2007 he launched a full women’s collection under the label Alexander Wang. This past year Wang was acknowledged by the fashion industry with the Ecco Domani Emerging Designer Award. Wang is currently living in New York’s Lower Eastside neighborhood.
