The Comme Des Carcons line sold out in a matter of days, which I suspect will be the same for for this special collaboration.  I love Williamson’s use of bright colors. I now have something to look forward to in 2009!

Last night, Ye debuted a new Pastelle track jacket at the American Music Awards.  He has been photographed wearing Pastelle clothing at different events.

During Fashion week in July, Kanye rocked a Pastelle hoody at the front row of a show, sitting next to Vogue Paris Editor Carine Roitfield.

Pastelle is slated for a 2009 release but I’m sure we’ll be seeing more sneak peaks of Kanye’s line. He’ll start rocking Pastelle before the launch date, like the leaks of his singles from 808’s & Heartbreak. From offering his AMA award to Lil Wayne, plagiarizing other sites on his blog (including Killah Beez), getting into altercations with the paparazzi to releasing new leaks, we love it!

This comes by way of Jeff Hamada over at Booooooom.com, I was at a meeting with him and some talented writers, Bart, Chris and Mike. Watch out for them dudes, they’re gonna be working on some hilarious shit over the next little bit and will be sharing with you Killahbeez readers. Anyways during that meeting of the minds, Jeff got us to pull up this clip of someone taking the time to cut up words from Barack Obama’s speeches and matching them to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” lyrics. This may be the illest shit ever. Anyways I realize this is  old, but I hadn’t seen it and I thought I’d share incase anybody else missed it.

Kanye West is at it again ladies and gentlemen.  No, he is not releasing the sixth or seventh single from his next album.  He has been caught and called out on plagiarizing nymag’s website today.  Shame on you Kanye! Killahbeez is still waiting for you to give us credit for these pictures man.  What’s the deal?

Okay so I know this video is a bit old as it came out early October. It doesn’t really fit with the stuff we generally write about here, but I thought this was an eye opener and a good educational piece on how it all happened. Killahbeez’s own AJK sent this to me, oh I don’t know a few weeks or so ago, but I never really had time to watch it, but yo, give me credit cus I hung on to the link. Anyways check out this CBS segment on the whole financial debacle it’s jaw dropping.

Here are the speeches if you want to watch them over and over. I have to say John McCain’s speech was stellar, if only he gave speeches like this throughout the campaign, maybe, just maybe he would’ve had a chance. Probably not, but it would’ve upped his chances at least. He definitely showed a lot of class with this speech and actually had me choked up a bit.

Below is Barack Obama’s victory speech, which too was pretty fantastic and inspiring. I had some man tears in my eyes as he was speaking.

Being born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, DC, my family and I had never gone to a Presidential Inauguration. On January 20, 2009, that will change. November 4, 2008 - “Yes We Can”

Undrcrwn does it again. First they brought you the O-Face tee, now they’re taking a historic sports image of Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston from the 1965 bout and put a twist on it. Undrcrwn logo in the background with the words “Down Goes McCain!” and an image of Barack Obama standing over top of a downed John McCain. Great looking shirt and retails for $30.00

But in all fairness, McCain’s speech was pretty fuckin’ fan-tastic when he conceded to Barack Obama. Really did a great job in congratulating Obama and the hard fought political battle that they went through together.

Get out and vote today! Some polls have opened at 12:00 AM and will extend to the evening. It is highly recommended to vote earlier during the day. During the evening, the lines are expected to be longer as many are expected to vote after work. It is critical to participate in this historical event for our generation. Since February 2007, my best friend Lauren and I have followed Obama’s campaign trail.

10:20 PM EST - CNN’s live Election results are projecting close numbers for both candidates in the popular vote. However, as we all know, the Electoral College will determine our next President.

11:08 PM EST - CNN has declared Barack Obama is the 44th President of the United States of America

There were times when I was criticized for believing in Obama but I never gave up hope.

From my blog postings, AIM away messages, mass emails to the Myspace and Facebook status updates - I have always stressed the importance of voting. Regardless of your color, Blue, Green or Red - THANK YOU FOR VOTING TODAY!

For the countless political talks (both drunken and sober), to the arguments I had with friends, family members and random strangers, I can officially say, “I told you so, Barack Obama will be on the general election ballot in November 2008 bitches!”

P.S. - My 21 year old cousin Steven volunteered to work the polls in Virginia today, my family rocks!

With the election happening tomorrow, I was sent this little gem on Sarah Palin getting…well pretty much punked by a couple of fellow French Canadians.

She actually thinks the call is coming from French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The PR manager really botched this one up badly without confirming or checking the call first. In this prank call they tell Palin that she would make a good president, to which she replied “maybe in 8 years”. The pranksters even mentioned the porno “Nailin Pailin” and I’m not sure if she didn’t understand or just didn’t hear. A great reason as to why this woman should not be in office, cus let’s face it McCain ain’t gonna make it past 2 years if he becomes president.

SAN DIEGO — The streetwear bubble may have burst, but the Agenda Trade Show seems to be on solid ground, judging by its September incarnation in San Diego earlier this month. Although traffic at the show appeared light, streetwear exhibitors and retailers seemed committed to Agenda, even after other trade shows—like MAGIC’s highly lauded S.L.A.T.E. launch—have honed in on the streetwear category.

According to Agenda cofounder Aaron Levant, the show drew the same attendance it did for its last two shows, and filled the same amount of space, but with a smaller number of vendors. “A lot of little companies have disappeared,” said Levant, “but the ones that stuck around have made a name for themselves, and are now becoming dominant brands in the marketplace.”

Big things are popping over at Agenda HQ with plans on an upcoming east coast show.  And of course this feature article on DNR.  Maybe I’ll get an invite next time around eh Neran?

Many celebrities have shown support for their favored candidate. Last week, Eve made an appearance at the Opening Party for Mobile Art: Chanel Contemporary Art Container event rocking Obama nail art.  Now that’s what I’m talking about, Obama swagger!

Instead of airing music videos, MTV currently plays re-runs of “RW/RR Challenge: The Island” and “Paris Hilton’s New BFF“.  With the launch of MTV Music, 16,000 archived videos will now be offered to music fanatics.  Does this mean that MTV will begin to run more reality shows?  I hope not. 

I suspect that this may be another option for YouTube internet users to obtain access to music videos via the world wide web.  If I were MTV, I would compete with YouTube as well, considering that the music channel was the first kid to play music videos on television.  YouTube has been quite a hit with internet users, from co-hosting live Presidential Debates with CNN to battling piracy issues with MTV’s parent company, Viacom.

MTV has certainly come along way from classics like “Thriller” and “Like A Virgin“.  Consequently, as time changes, technology and demographic lifestyles change as well.  The internet is an essential part of our everyday lives.  Desperate times call for desperate actions, as we are now given an alternative option to view music videos from MTV.  Yes, MTV is (finally) playing music videos!
