The theme for Forever 21’s latest TWIST line is the ballet and as the name states, tutus!

Although a lot of the tutu-esque dresses and skirts are rather short, if worn with opaque tights and the right shoe, the shortness might be passable. A lot of the looks they’ve put together for this line look good on the petite model. In other words, although cute, some of the looks might only look good if you’re petite or a cute little ballerina.

My favourite part of the collection are the little cardigans.

There is little bad to be said about the wonderful softness and warmth of cashmere and I love this application of the wool for brand Crumpet. This sweater is hand knit in cream coloured cashmere. It’s a good sturdy knit too by the looks of it. Texture really rules here, but it also creates a bit of thickness too, which is great for keeping warm and keeping the sweater’s shape. This long style sweater is really reminiscent of a cardigan and the pockets on the front are great. Also loving the tortoise shell buttons and the folded collar. This would look great over jeans or over a summer dress, so you can stretch your summer wardrobe. But you need this sweater!

Latest campaign from Passionata for Spring / Summer 2010 featuring Israeli super model Bar Refaeli. The ads take on a playful yet sexy vibe, a modern day take on a pin-up girl essentially. The photos were shot by photographer Greg Kadel, his body of work is a long list of celebs, publications and advertising credits.

Strictly Fitteds to me, is the authority of fitted cap news.  So to see a milestone where the online brand is releasing their very own fitted cap is very blog-worthy.  The online mag has teamed up with the well respected, ELM Company for this project which consists of two fitted caps.  The pack consists of a black classic wool blend and a canvas upper with suede brim fitted.  Although colorway may be at a minimal, I love the “SF” logo embroidery and ribbon hit on the back.  The Strictly Fitteds and ELM Company fitteds should be available late November.

Terry Richardson has been doing quite a bit of work for H&M, if you didn’t know he shot the whole Jimmy Choo and H&M collaboration, parts of that ad campaign can be seen here. Here he’s shooting model Maryna Linchuk, seen in various lingerie and sleepwear from H&M, these can be seen in the latest H&M magazine and possibly other magazines down the road.

Artist, Ian Millard recently teamed up with Japan’s Noise King to produce a print called ‘LV Cans‘.  Instantly folks should recognize the Vuitton monograms and Whole Food’s 365 Organic line of food products.  But some of us may correlate this with another famous pop art soup can piece.  ‘LV Cans‘ was produced using 10 hand-cut stencils and spray paint. For those curious behind the process can watch Ian’s video below.  With an edition of 15, the 30″ x 40″ prints retail for $188.  Patrons have a choice between a gold or silver version.

So, I totally spotted these for their great style and colours (available in black, chocolate or teal), but upon reading further, it turns out these also boast the microwobbleboard technology that helps you tone while you walk. While I wouldn’t replace an hour on the gym with an hour of shopping in these babies (known as Fitflops, by Anna Sui Shakoha), that can’t be a bad thing. So you get fashion, function and form. Really, that’s about all you can ask for. These are suede (not good for rain) and lined, so they should keep your feet nice and toasty. Plus, they’re really, really cute.

I’m loving all of the casual and cosy looks that Madewell has been putting together for the last few seasons.

Madewell’s current collection features cosy gray cardigans (striped and chunky knit), vests, fitted jeans, long scarves, and a plethora of checkered items.

Here’s the new Ray-Ban campaign called Colorize. The print ads does a modern interpretation of Andy Warhols style. The campaign sells the fact that Ray-Bans come in an array of color combos and different styles, not just limited to a few pairs. The ad spots below are pretty interesting as well, work was done by Psyop.

Torrential rain has arrived and is here to stay until at least April, so I’m always lookin’ up new ways to make venturing out into the rain a little less painful and a little more fashionable. This Vivienne Westwood + Melissa collaboration is one of the very best galoshes I’ve seen in a hot minute.

Westwood, one of Britain’s most influencial designers, introduced her avant-garde, Euro punk style to Australian footwear line, Melissa, best known for their grown-up jelly shoes, starting in 2008. Today, their partnership is still going strong, and this lilac colored, bow bootie is straight from their Spring/Summer 10 collection. The boot is made of 100% PVC, features an almond toe and slight heel, and hits just above the ankle. The black PVC bow on front definitely adds a cartoon-ish, feminine twist to your basic rain boot.

The boots are for cool and quirky ladies who aren’t afraid to  turn heads while they slosh through rain puddles. Liven up a pair of dark denim skinnies or basic leggings and an oversized, nubbly sweater for a causal, cozy weekend look. Don’t be afraid to rock these during business hours either. Where them over opaque black nylons and a short skirt or dress when walking around outside and save your precious pumps for the office.

Zoë Kravitz is now the new face of Vera Wang’s fragrance called “Princess”. On why Kravitz was chosen to be the new face:

Personally, I’ve always been a fan of her style. She always seems to have a funky, fashionable and sexy look to her overall style. I mean with parents like Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet, how that style and sexiness rub off.

Here is a pleasant Monday morning surprise for you all. Fred Perry and Stussy Deluxe have joined forces to bring us a new mini capsule collection.  Entitled, ‘Blank Canvas‘, six pieces consisting of a logo(s) tee, check patterned long sleeve button down and several outerwear pieces.  ‘Blank Canvas‘ is due out in February 2010 and I’m sure a lot of us simply can’t wait.

Here’s a look at Japanese clothing brand Unused’s Fall / Winter 2009 lookbook. A lot of the pieces are very simple and quite straight forward and giving you versatile looks. But what stands out the most is how dope the lookbook is. Instead of opting to use a young male model, they went and did the complete opposite, all the while still styling him the way the clothes were meant to be rocked. This is easily one of the best lookbooks I’ve seen in a bit and actually brought a smile to my face.

Patterns like plaid, tweed herringbone and houndstooth give so much personality to clothing.  So upon seeing Bodega’s glen check tweed 59Fifty, its a no brainer that I need this fitted immediately.  The pattern is complemented with a two tone ‘B’ logo in blue and white.  Finally,  more embroidery can be seen on the back in the form of Bodega’s logo in blue.  For those interested, Bodega’s Glen Check Tweed fitted is available both online and in store now.

The Hundreds are releasing a limited edition version of their Adam Outline New Era fitteds in two colorways. Both of these colorways are exclusive to the The Hundreds San Fran retail location. The cardinal colorway is inspired by Stanford while the blue & gold is paying homage to UC Berkeley. Each fitted is limited to a 100 pieces and students of each respected school that present their student ID will receive a 25% discount on these fitteds.

Here’s a look at the Freshjive Holiday ‘09 collection, which features a few tees, denim pants, varsity jackets, an array of hoodies, the flannel piece and jackets. The collection definitely has something for everyone out there. The other interesting thing is that on the website they also say that this is officially the last collection the brand will be using the Freshjive brand logo, what’s next? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Here’s a collection that caught my eye this past weekend. It’s the Spring / Summer 2010 collection by Velour, maybe it was the non-stop monsoon and dark grays here, but I love the bright colors in the collection and the simplicity of the button ups as well. I’m a sucker for button ups period. Have a look at the rest of the collection below.

Taking inspiration from the Nike Air Raid is a Japanese brand, AG’s ‘Raiders GTS Boot‘.  The Air Raid was and still is a sneaker that broke necks since the early 90’s with its ‘x’ strap.  Now take that ‘x’ strap and revamp the entire sneaker with a vulcanized sole, metal eyelets as well as premium leather and you’ve got a handsome lifestyle sneaker. Currently these are only available at Rowgage.

One of our more popular search terms for the site is Supra and it’s clear why, every year their shit gets more and more dope. But with that said, here’s a look at the Skytop 2 and I have to admit, I’m not loving these so much. This is a special limited edition Gradient colorway and numbered / limited to 600 pairs. Once again the perforated swoosh look makes an appearance.  This time, the Nike Air Force One receives the ‘Work Boot‘ treatment with metal grommets, boot laces and a rugged upper.  And I LOVE IT.  My only wish is that with the additional name of ‘Supreme‘ tied to this forces, shouldn’t they have a snazzier sole?  I’m sure I’m not the only one wondering this.  We’ll keep an eye out for sure though.
