For a few years now, I have searched high and low for a pair of distressed boyfriend-esque jeans. But not just any pair, a pair that actually fits, is a lighter wash, and has the right amount of distressing that I like. So far, all I have been able to come across are pairs that make me look even shorter than usual, pairs that make my butt look monstrous, and pairs that are either too distressed or not distressed enough.
On a recent browse-through of Goodhood‘s site, I came across these Levi’s and once my eyes fell upon them, the angels starting singing Hallelujah. Okay, so that didn’t really happen, but let’s just pretend it did. The jeans in question are the Levis’s 1967 Customized 505 jeans in the Lisa Marie wash, perhaps named after Lisa Marie Presley.
These jeans are meant to emulate the class slim fitting jean style of the 1960s “Summer of Love” era. With the ease of a zipper fly, distressing on the thighs, and ripped knees, these jeans made from red selvedge denim definitely evoke a casual cool vibe.
Would it be too much to call these The Perfect Pair, capitalization and all? Because these Levi’s are an ace pair of jeans that I need to get my legs into.
