There’s nothing more depressing than having to take out your black winter coat…and wear it for the next six months. For a few weeks, it’s kind of fun, and you build a few amazing #AllBlackEverythng outfits based on your outerwear, but after a while, the novelty wears off, and black wool becomes so bore-bore.
I’m proposing to not go for boring (albeit always classic) black, and to bring some colour into your fall/winter wardrobe. This is the first part of your outfit that people see, so why shouldn’t it be fabulous?
I love that this wool coat from Shanghai-based Front Row Shop is in cheery chartreuse. The cut of the coat is very classic—a two-button front closure, slim lapel, mid-thigh length, and large square pockets means that the colour of the coat gets all the attention.
Of course, this coat would stand on its own even paired with the most “safe” outfits, but I think that if you really wanted to take the chartreuse to the next level, you should pair the coat with other bright patterns and colours.
Either way, you’ll certainly get noticed and get compliments wearing this coat.
The wool coat is priced at $116 over at Front Row Shop.
