If you ever needed a motivator to get to the gym, this would be it. OK, maybe $300 silk shorts aren’t exactly for sweatin’ in, but these Rachel Antonoff track shorts are ideal for summer’s laidback sporty style.
New York-based Rachel Antonoff, whose lil’ bro happens to be Fun guitarist Jack Antonoff (and Lena Dunham’s BF), launched her eponymous line in 2009. Her designs are off-beat and aren’t for gals that take themselves too seriously—think zany prints and retro-inspired cuts.
These track shorts aren’t exactly the same ones you’d pick up at the sports store.I love the graphic patchwork print and the muted green and yellow colorway. The shorts come with a drawstring and elastic waist, which means comfortable times when the mercury rises, and the silk fabric makes the piece incredibly lightweight.
If you’re unsure how to rock “sportwear” on the sidewalk, without looking like you just left the gym, follow this model’s lead and pair the shorts with a top that is the least-bit sporty. Elongate your legs even more by slipping your feet into a pair of platform or wedge sandals.
These Rachel Antonoff track shorts are currently on sale over at Madewell from $235 to $259.99.
