Big Boi’s latest video, “Mama Told Me”, is a colorful one. The song features Kelly Rowland, but interestingly enough the chorus on the song was actually written by Little Dragon’s Yukimi Nagano, whom sang the original version of this track. Due to label clearance issues she wasn’t cleared to do this, which is incredibly dumb, as the original with Yukimi was excellent. That’s not to take away from this version though as Rowland steps into the role quite well. Here’s to hoping Big Boi’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors comes out soon.
