Designed for Belgian bedmakers, Magnitude, is Alain Gilles’s Area Bed. Area Bed is one part platform bed with a double duty headboard cosplaying as a room divider. As seen in the images, the headboard can easily segregate “bedroom” from living, dining or even bathroom. For someone living in a studio apartment or renting an unfinished basement of a townhouse, this is a solution with many possibilities.
