This week’s Mixtape Mondays discovery is a bit of a late one as it was released nearly a month ago. Virgin Magnetic Material is the edm producer moniker for Shai Vardi, a Tel Aviv based musically inclined master of all trades. The guy gets his hands dirty on radio, producing music for television programs, film and of course electronica reinterpretations of popular music from the past 3 decades. Those with a keen ear will notice that Vardi may add personal touches into each remix, but still preserves the essence of each track’s original sound especially the vocals. On a side note, I gotta say VMM’s rework of Tupac’s “Let’s Get It On” laced with “Circus” by Heion is truly ear gold.
