Too Hot Not to Cop: Stussy Vintage Varsity Jacket

Whether you’re headed back to school or not, the varsity jacket is one of this season’s must-have items. For petite girls, it can be hard to achieve this borrowed-from-the-boys look without a) getting engulfed by a gigantic jacket, or b) looking like you actually go to high school. That’s why this vintage varsity jacket by Stussy has my stamp of approval. Not only is is cropped and fitted to fit a small frame, but it’s got all the look of a real vintage jacket without actually being a dude’s jacket.

The Stussy jacket is made from a blend of polyester, wool, and cotton. It features white trimming around all the edges, snap-button closures, and slit pockets on either side. What I love about this particular jacket is its green-teal hue—on-trend with fall’s jewel-tones. The Stussy logo is printed on the back and embroidered on the front, but because it’s black printed on darkish green, the effect is much more subtle.

Pairing a varsity jacket with your weekend jeans and Converse sneakers is a no-brainer. But what would up the ante of an item like this is by pairing with something unexpected—perhaps a printed pencil skirt and bootie-heels, or worn over a tunic-type minidress.

At $127 over at Stussy’s online shop, this varsity jacket is sure to score you an A+.
