Too Hot Not to Cop: Ora Toby Bag

One of the easiest ways to transition from spring/summer to fall/winter is to gradually change up your accessories. This doesn’t just mean switching a pair of open-toe wedges for bootie heels (although that’s the point), but transitioning some of your lighter and brighter hued scarves, sunglasses, and bags can also make a world of a difference.

Here’s a bag perfect for fall and winter, but still appropriate to wear with denim cutoffs and breezy tanks. Ora Bags are handmade, one-of-a-kind accessories by Vancouver-based designer Randi Obenauer. Many of the bags are made from upcycled leather and suede, and others are crafted from deadstock leather pieces in cool hues and textures.

The Toby bag is a new take on Ora Bags’ popular-selling Sadie drawstring bag for fall 2012. The bag also features a drawstring closure, but this time, the drawstring is braided with fringe detailing. It also features grommet closures for added durability and an adjustable strap, so the bag can be worn long or short.

The Toby comes in three colorways: black, brown, or oxblood, which along with other jewel-tones, seem to be the colours of fall 2012.

The Toby bag retails for $350 over at Ora Bags’ online shop.
