The return of colder temperatures usually also means the return of vintage vibes. And this ’70s style wool romper by Opening Ceremony has vintage written all over it. But it’s new.
For romper-hatin’ folk out there, I’m sorry, but grownup onesies are still going strong. Thank god, they’ve moved away from the skintight mechanic- or fighter pilot-looking zip-up suites, and are now a bit looser fitting, complete with swingy flared or wide-legged bottoms.
I love the asphalt, heather, black, and brown colorway of this wool onesie. I also like that it’s sleeveless, so you can have run pairing the work-to-party suit with different blouses and tops. The apron-type top is cut all the way down the waist, with a very structured waistline separating the top half from the pants. Now, the pants, this is the truly amazing part. They’re super wide-legged and pleated, so when they’re hanging in natural position (and not being pulled apart like wings, as in the photo above), it just looks like a dress/skirt.
Rock this flared wool one-piece with a colorful top and cute, cropped booties all fall/winter long.
The Opening Ceremony flared onesie is available at Need Supply Co. for $430.
