Porcelain Unicorn: A Powerful Short Film in Six Lines and Three Minutes

I’m a bit shocked I missed this contest by Philips called Parallel Lines that went down last year.  The entry requirements were that each short film can’t exceed three minutes and must contain the following lines: “What is that?”, “It’s a unicorn”, “Never seen one up close before.” “Beautiful”.  ”Get away, get away”. and “I’m sorry”.  The above video, “Porcelain Unicorn” captivated many including judge Sir Ridley Scott who quoted “I chose Porcelain Unicorn to be the winning film as it had a very strong narrative; a very complete story that was well told and executed.”  I’ve only begun to watch the shorts, but I think the honor “Porcelain Unicorn” received is well deserved.  All the entries can be viewed here.  I thought “The Gift” was another great short as well.
