If you haven’t been able to cop a pair of the of-the-moment Prada Creepers, and you’re not really wanting to sell one of your kidneys for a platform—sorry, flatform—shoe, then you might want to turn your attention to these Jeffrey Campbell Mary Jane platforms.
Known for on-trend designs at reasonable prices, Jeffrey Campbell shoes don’t seem to sacrifice quality over style. These Mary Janes, for example, are made of 100 percent leather, thus they don’t pinch and get softer with time. It seems like we haven’t seen platforms make a comeback since the Spice Girls in the late ’90s, but here we are again, thanks to Prada, and really, while a lot of peeps think that platforms may be the fuggliest shoes, they’re uber comfy and make everyone’s legs look a mile long.
The Jeffrey Campbell patent Mary Jane platforms feature a 2.5″ leather-covered platform with rubber sole. Like the Prada Creepers, the sole is two-toned, featuring a lighter cream shade and a dark tan on the bottom. The toe is rounded and the shoe features an adjustable ankle strap.
If you’re not completely convinced over how awesome platform shoes are, pair these height-boosters with ’70s style super flared denim. When you’re ready to show off your platforms, wear them with skirts, dresses, even denim shorts. Wear these throughout summer sans socks or with a pair of bright ankle socks, and in the winter, play with different colors of tights for an eye-popping look.
The Prada Creepers retail at around $800, so be pleased that these puppies only ring in at $143.
