Just Cake It
Marketed to sound like an upcoming fashion line, Megumi Kaneko and Megumi Suzuki (Gummi and Jumbo ‘M’ respectively) have combined forces for a sneaker cake collaboration under the moniker, M2. The end result is a very vibrant 3D sculpted cake with fondant massaged to mimic patent leather, suede and other key ingredients (or rather materials) to kicks these days. The sneaker cake line is due to launch in Spring 2011. However, from the details gathered, this may be a Japan only exclusive. Although I can only admire from afar, I can’t wait to see what the two Megumi’s have in store for us next.
