Wei Up Close: Coachella Fashion

As we all know the Coachella line-up was just the sickest this year. My favorite performances were Jay-Z & Beyonce and, of course, La Roux with energy that just transpires through my monitor and speakers as if I am present at the festival itself. Aside from the music the Coachella festival is also known for its fashion on-stage and off.

I would be in a frenzy if I was actually there because it is always a guaranteed star-studded event. I expect you to hold me back with all your might from making out with celebrities if you happen to go with me. Whether you are famous or not, everyone dresses their hippie part. It is the most casually stylish music festival and consciously so. It’s like, “I know you know I know I am kind of dressing the part. And I know you know I know you know you are dressing the part too”. Everyone silently agrees. And I openly drool.

Coachella kick-starts the summer fashion with the likes of: fedoras, headbands, crochets, tribal prints, lace, tie-dyes, boots, rompers and floral dresses. One stop shop? Probably Urban Outfitters to sum it up. If only we could wear that all year round in multiple-personality weather Vancouver, Canada. And the best part about the Coachella festival is that there was NO UGGS IN SIGHT! All hail the Coachella!
