potipoti spring summer 10

The knowledge that there are collections out there like this one make braving the awfulness that is winter-spring a little more bearable. The amazing Spring/Summer 2010 by Spanish label Potipoti looks just as fun to ware as it is to say. The collection features the label’s signature geometric designs over a splash of muted So-Cal hues collectively called “The Human Body River.”

Potipoti was founded in 2005 by Silvia Salvador and Nando Cornejo, who met in Northern Spain while they were both pursuing Fine Arts degrees. After graduation and working as art directors in Madrid, the pair moved to Berlin to start Potipoti. The label’s aesthetic is the intersection of fashion, graphic design and visual arts, and Potipoti has partnered with other design companies to create exclusive eyewear, stationary and even notebook collections.

The women’s collection for Spring/Summer 10 features an array of oversized T-shirts and singlets to be tucked into high-waisted dyed chambray skirts, pants and shorts. In addition, there are several cute dresses for the ladies and brightly colored cardigans and blazers to top things off. The color palette is a mix of solid nudes highlighted with muted neon green, pink, yellow and blue. A sharp navy blue weaves its way in and out of every piece to ground the collection.

The more limited men’s collection features a laid back nautical feel. Casual ultra-soft Tees are grounded by tailored navy shorts.

If you’re swooning over the Spring/Summer collection and need to satisfy your desire with some “wear now” options, check out the Fall/Winter 09 collection, which is on sale in their online store.
